Fat Banana - Fast Finishing, Mouthwatering Indica

Although Fat Banana is an Indica-dominant with strong Kush heritage, it does exhibit some Sativa traits too. This cannabis strain usually grows compact and bushy with one large and dense main cola but it can take any type of training that will keep it manageable size and increase yield. If left untrained, Fat Banana can easily grow up to 200cm but it usually stays around 150cm. Finishing flowering in just 7 to 8 weeks, it will provide for a great yield of highly potent and flavorful buds.

- Advantages
  
  What a nice journey! The plant was very easy to work with, she enjoyed being mainlined and had some good tolerance to both LST & HST. Very strong weed, dense colas, good yield, nice terpenes ...the strain is fantastic.
- Disadvantages
  
  The only downside I can note is that she started to create a few bananas (I know, quite ironic) in her last week of flowering, whereas the other strain in the room had no issue at all. I think it can't be a stress because she had the perfect environment but I'm not going to blame the genetics for this, I like to think that nature always finds a way to reproduce. I've spotted the pollen sacs and removed these before they open anyway, no seeds were found in the buds.
- General impressions
  
  Buds are awesome, some top colas are gigantic and all of the buds even the lowest ones, are solid as a rock. Perfect bud structure and bud density.
  Effects are heavy, I have a big THC tolerance, but that strain surprised me with a powerful cerebral buzz. At first toke, it will hit you in the chest, eyes become immediately sticky and after a few minutes the high is crazy. Not a wake-and-bake strain, for sure! Mixed with coffee in the early morning, heartbeat can accelerate too much. I would say it’s the perfect strain to watch a movie or enjoy some couch activities, but don’t plan moving your body after a few hits of FatBanana 😜
  Terpenes are tropical, you can feel the kush side as well as some exotic fruits and some slight banana notes at exhale.
  If you're ready for a strong strain that will hit you hard, with about 25% of THC, go ahead, FatBanana is a reliable candidate for your growroom!

  Beautiful plant. Easy to grow. Fast grower. Fat buds. Great yielder.
  Smell of overripe sweet tropical fruit, in caso banana.
  Mild effect. Body relaxing. Soft high with creative, introspective effect. Good for meditation or enjoying music.
  Plant # 1 has thick buds, kush style. On the scales after drying 4 days: 71.2 grams. After further drying, curing and removing all branches: 58 grams
  Plant # 2 has a bit of sativa genes. After 4 days of drying on the scales: 87.7 grams. After further drying, curing and removal of all twigs: 71 grams.

  Quantity is not the highest but quality surely is!!
  At first I really wasn't impressed by this strain's smell straight after drying. Couldn't really notice that banana flavor. But once cured for more than a month now... WOOWOWOWOW!!!!
  Every jar opening is a real blast!! Super intense tropical fruit smell!! Very very mouth watering.
  When I vape at high temps directly (around 180°C/356°F) without doing the first temp steps (I usually start at 140°C/280°F) I got hit in the face quite hard and my eyes instantly shut down!! Meanwhile my mouth is coated with intense fruit taste!
  This strain is slowly but surely becoming one of the top I grew so far! Really enjoying it every day! But definitely not a daytime smoke unless you don't need to do many things...
  Nailed it once again RQS!

  Fat Banana is a great strain. A smooth smoke, nice quality buds+ smells and tastes great.

  There’s a few things I’d personally change if I was to grow fat Banana again. But this time round she was very resistant to high temperatures and humidity during Flower. She holds on to nitrogen so I’d definitely feed her less on the nutrients as she is a light feeder.
