Biscotti Mintz Strain Info

The Biscotti Mintz strain has quite an intriguing history. The breeder crossed two popular parent strains to achieve breathtaking results – together, these two strains blessed its offspring with its prominent flavor palate and potency. Between its Sativa and Indica sides, this strain owes its strength and effects to its Indica dominance.

Genetics

With a noteworthy lineage, Biscotti Mintz is a mix between the Cookies variant and OG Kush on one end, acting as the base layer for flavors and effects, while the Mintz addition rounds it off beautifully on the other end, creating a totally unique marijuana strain.

Flowering Time

Biscotti Mintz has a wonderfully short flowering time, generally between 56 and 63 days. This strain can also be grown both indoors and outdoors with very good yields.

Yields

When grown outdoors, these cannabis plants can produce up to 1.5kgs (3.3lbs) of bud per plant. Grown in an indoor setting, you can expect a harvest of up to 650g/m² (2.1oz/ft²).

Effects

The effects you can expect from this strain are relaxation with a good creativity boost, followed by a gradual energizing body feel. This is an especially great strain for mental focus.

Smell And Taste

A key point of attraction of this strain, the flavor and aromas of this plant are created through a broad terpene profile. A combination of limonene, caryophyllene, and eucalyptol terpenes offer a tantalizing aroma of mint and spice, plus the delicious flavor of chocolate chip cookies.

Grow Tips

These feminized seeds will naturally all produce glorious smokable buds when grown in the right conditions. Outdoors, Biscotti Mintz can grow up to a comfortable 2 meters in height.

  • This strain grows best in hot and temperate climates.
  • Growers will find this strain to be quite beginner-friendly.

    • Advantages
Good genetics, relatively simple cultivation, yield and THC
    • General impressions

An excellent variety, without a doubt. But there are better alternatives with the same qualities. Out of curiosity, I grew two BM seeds from Barneys and two from another supplier. They are identical, but Barneys is more expensive. But it's still a very good variety, without a doubt.

    • Advantages
Highly immune. The strain is very tolerant. Responds very well to various techniques. Very strong and with great medicinal potential.
    • Disadvantages
None, it just relaxes you too much and sometimes makes you see things that don't exist.
    • General impressions

This strain is pure bliss, a direct extract of nirvana with a minty freshness. I'm truly blown away. Will I grow it again? Absolutely. And more than once. I bought 3 seeds, grew 2, I still have 1 left, and I'll be ordering more. Biscotti Mintz is the best that Kush genetics have to offer, a true gem. Both plants were identical, no difference in phenotype, grew to 90 cm, and I harvested 100 grams from each. The buds are small but dense and very beautiful, with an incredible amount of resin. As for training, I used ScrOG – it responded wonderfully. The light was a 300w HPS plus a small additional CFL. I fed complex mineral water at 2/3 of the recommended dose, and not once did the plants show any signs of nutrient deficiency or excess. The vegetative stage lasted 7 weeks, followed by 9 weeks of flowering. Ten days before harvest, I flushed the plant, and consequently, the finished product after curing has no bitter taste. The smoke is smooth, creamy, even oily, and refreshing like mint ice cream. A creamy mint dessert with spices—that's how I would describe it. The aftertaste is diesel-like, but mild. The effect is gradual, taking about 10 minutes, so don't overdo it, or you'll be stuck in a daze for hours. But if you're not greedy and know when to stop, then the body relaxes, the mind clears, and consciousness is filled with inspiration. This strain is excellent for relieving pain and any kind of overwork.

    • Advantages
Powerful, a must-have for fans of psychedelic strains. Grows without any problems.
    • Disadvantages
Phenotypes. Or was I simply "lucky"?
    • General impressions

I germinated three seeds; all sprouted successfully, but they produced plants with different phenotypes: 60 cm, 80 cm, and 100 cm under the same conditions. They grew vigorously, but their appearance indicated they needed different amounts of nutrients and water, like children. I even named them for fun. There were flowering issues—they didn't all flower at the same time, and because of this, the harvest was spread over two weeks. Only one plant turned purple with orange stigmas (the one that grew to 80 cm). The other two were a plain dark green. The tallest had a predominantly Kush aroma, a bitter, earthy taste, and the effect was more of a sativa high, with negligible relaxation. The others, however, had more of a stoned effect, but they also relieved pain better, although they did induce visions. The yield isn't too high, but it's not low either. I think I'll grow it at least one more time to form a definitive opinion.

    • Advantages
Attractive and easy-to-manage plants, lush, productive and undemanding. Vigorous buds.
    • General impressions

The taste is original, invigorating, and refreshing, while the journey itself is the opposite. The effect is nirvana. Total nirvana. Sometimes with thought-provoking images, auditory hallucinations, but it doesn't send you on a quest; you simply lie there and enjoy the journey through the nooks and crannies of your own mind. I've grown both on organic and mineral soils. There's no difference. They grow well. They flower like crazy. They bloom in 9 to 10 weeks. The plants reached 70 to 80 cm in 15 L pots. They stretch perfectly.

    • Advantages
Those who enjoy indicas and something stronger will certainly appreciate this strain. It requires constant attention and above-average experience, but the end result is worth it.
    • Disadvantages
      None for me
    • General impressions

I wouldn't recommend it to beginners; they get stressed easily. For an experienced grower, it will be a breeze. I also wouldn't recommend the buds to beginners—the effect is too strong.
