Chempie Strain Info

The history of Chempie doesn’t end on an exemplary lineage. The origin of a new legend has been noticed by fans all over the globe and professionals alike: in 2018, Chempie was awarded first prize at Expogrow as the best strain for extractions with solvent.

Genetics

Chempie is a feminized photoperiod cannabis strain created by Ripper Seeds as a cross between Cherry Pie, Chemdawg, and Do-Si-Dos to yield a triple-hybrid that’s part beauty, part beast. Such a powerful genetic lineage could only lead to a strain that’s an absolute favorite among fans of Ripper Seeds.

Flowering Time

Chempie completes her flowering cycle in less than 60 days – just what you would want from a photoperiod seed for indoor growing. This strain is also a great option for outdoor growers who need their plants to finish by mid-October.

Effects

Chempie has a classic Sativa effect – expect a potent uplifting boost to your mood that leaves you calm and happy, yet absolutely clear-minded.

Smell and Taste

Chempie has a very unique smell – sweet and fruity with hints of walnuts – and a candy-like taste for all the fans of sweet-tasting strains out there.

Grow Tips

You can get excellent results from Chempie by growing it in an organic environment. While suitable for outdoor growing, the best Chempie specimens come as a result of indoor cultivation. Ripper Seeds recommend that you lollipop the plant before switching to flower to ensure the formation of fewer but bigger and more potent cannabis flowers. Her buds are tall and full with lots of pistils, which turn golden-brown when ready for harvest. Here is some further grow info to help you with this strain:

  • This is a stealthy plant – the strain reaches a final maximum height of 1m (3’3”) indoors and up to 1.2m (3’9”) outdoors.
  • Recommended lighting is 450 W LED, with more powerful set-ups.
  • The strain benefits from FIMming and creates several long colas with great light penetration.

Poor germination rate. The plant was male!
    • General impressions

I ordered 5 of these seeds, 2 out of 5 sprouted, and one was male! Having grown them for 15 years, I get a 100% germination rate most of the time, unless it's my fault. This is the first time I've had Ripper seeds, and I won't be ordering again. I've never had a problem with Herbies until this happened. I kept them in a cup of water (room temperature) for a day in a cool, dark place, then directly onto a damp paper towel in a zip-top bag over a heat mat. This works 100% of the time; it wasn't my fault, I got BAD SEEDS!!!

    Hello Gavin McClelland,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our products, with the exception of this particular variety. Seeds are living biological material, and their germination rate depends on various factors. The fact is that feminized seeds (seeds that have been feminized) are the seeds capable of developing into a female plant approximately 95-97% of the time. The sex of the plant depends not only on genetics but also on the surrounding environment.

At Herbies, we truly aim to ensure that each and every one of you, our customers, is satisfied with our seeds and service. Unfortunately, you didn't leave any feedback, so please contact us here: [email protected] or via online chat, and our quality control team will assist you in any way we can.
    Respectfully, Herbies Team
