Cookies Kush: OG Kush Made Into Cookies

Cookies Kush from Barney’s Farm is an award winning 70% Indica-dominant hybrid. It's a cross between two legendary strains - Girl Scout Cookie and OG Kush. With genetics like that, the only outcome was a spectacular strain, and Cookies Kush doesn’t disappoint.

By using the flavorsome and highly potent Girl Scout Cookies and crossing it with the even more potent and resilient OG Kush, Barney’s has created a strain that combines the best of both parents. Growing fast and vigorous, it usually stays at 90-100cm in height, both indoors and outdoors. It will grow many side branches that may need a bit of support in the later stages of flowering in order to handle the weight of trichome covered buds. Buds will resemble OG Kush more - hard, dense, sticky, and smelly, almost always testing over 20% THC with 1-2% CBD.

Recommended Nutrients: Technaflora.
Recommended Techniques: LST, SoG, topping and defoliation to increase maximum yields.
Lighting: Responds well to FL 250-600W during vegetation and HID 250-600W lights.
Yield is usually 500-650g/m² indoors and up to 400g/plant outdoors.

  I really enjoyed growing this plant. The smoke is perfect, not harsh at all, just pleasant and smooth.
- Disadvantages
  
  There were no problems with it, apart from the long, thin stems, which is why it received a 4/5 rating.
- General impressions
  
  It has a very mild, pungent aroma and tastes lovely! You get a pretty intense high for the first 20-30 minutes, then it softens in your head and spreads through your body, relaxing your muscles. You feel incredibly light, capable, and pain-free. I highly recommend this strain!

  In general, it's an herb that acts on the body, leaving the mind calm and capable of anything (at least for me). Personally, I feel like a god and could use it at any time of day, even before intense physical activity—something that doesn't always happen with sativas. Its strength and endurance were impressive, and I may have been lucky to have the neem oil issue with it, as it tolerated it very well, allowing me to learn without compromising the final result too much. Another plant would probably die.

  It responded positively to all the topping and training, and the SCROG worked very well. Now that I've seen the plant grow, I should be able to fill the net properly next time and get a bit more height, so I'll do it again.

  It was a fairly easy strain to grow, but it's worth mentioning that it doesn't like temperatures above 28°C, even in the vegetative stage. As soon as the temperature exceeded this, some leaves started to curl. Fortunately, turning on a fan at a higher setting quickly corrected the problem. Aside from that, there were no issues with pests or diseases. All the indica traits are there, but the sativa influence is also present. This strain has the ability to couch-lock you, energize you, or a combination of both. It's a complex effect that's difficult to pinpoint, and for this reason, I'd say it's a 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid. The taste and overall aroma are reminiscent of Girl Scout cookies. It's when you grind the buds that the pine and earthy kush scent becomes noticeable. It's very pleasant to smoke with a slight sweetness, and the smoke doesn't expand much either, so there are no coughing fits. This is a huge plus for me and something I look for in strains. Overall, it's an excellent strain and my new favorite. I highly recommend it to my fellow growers. You won't be disappointed.
