Critical Kush Strain Info

Critical Kush by Barney's Farm is a 100% Indica. With a THC level of 25%, simplicity in growing, and high resistance to temperature fluctuations, it’s a firm favorite of many growers.

Genetics

The lineage of Critical Kush isn’t markedly different from many of the most popular varieties on the market today. Her parents are Critical Mass and OG Kush, and their immediate predecessors include Skunk #1, Afghani, Hindu Kush, and an unknown strain from Northern California. The resulting mix of genes, however, is anything but ordinary.

Critical Kush Trip Report

Effects

Critical Kush buds provide a classic Indica stone effect, which can help to get rid of fatigue, insomnia, or stress. All you have to do is sink into the sofa and relax.

THC And CBD Levels

Critical Kush boasts an incredible THC level of 25% to provide a long-lasting effect. Plus, although this strain wasn’t bred for high CBD content, it also turned out to be very rich in this therapeutic cannabinoid at 1.8%.

Smell And Taste

Though it doesn’t have a delicious-sounding name to lure users in with a promise of some sweet treat, this strain contains many tasty terpenes that give the smell notes of earth, herb, and fuel. Meanwhile, the flavor is intensely piney, with an aftertaste of lemons and tangerines.

Yields

As a cash-crop variety, Critical Kush can bring a generous 650g/m² (2.1oz/ft²) of smelly, dense, THC-rich buds in an indoor setup.

Flowering Time

55-60 days of flowering is an incredible speed, even for an Indica – yet another reason to choose this wonderfully rewarding strain.

Grow Tips

The Critical Kush strain has a relatively small size when cultivated indoors, reaching just 100cm (3.3 ft). When harvest time comes, the top of the plant becomes purple, and resinous buds covered in crystals begin to appear. The plant has a strong smell during the flowering period, so carbon filters will be a real help for indoor growers. Outdoors, Critical Kush can be cultivated throughout a temperate climate zone and is ready to harvest by the end of September.

  • Beware that high humidity can cause molding.
  • Defoliation and good ventilation are needed to prevent powdery mildew.
  • LST bending and ScrOG are the best ways to increase yields.

Critical Kush Seeds

This strain is 100% feminized, and though the price isn’t exactly low, rest assured that every penny spent on these seeds will be more than worth it. The genetics are really incredible, and you’ll harvest a generous amount of bud from every seed you plant.

    • Advantages
Hydroponic plants produce so many buds (about 7-9 ounces per dry plant). They have a very pleasant scent. Easy to grow.
    • Disadvantages
      I didn't find anyone
    • General impressions

Towards the end of flowering, it smells like liquor or whiskey, perhaps. A very sweet smell. It has grown to almost 5 feet in a hydroponic system in 4 months and is covered in buds.

    • General impressions

A potent Indica with a breathtaking high. All its charms. The nervous system is perfectly rejuvenated, cramps disappear, and stress is reduced. Grow in coconut coir, 20-liter pots. They need moderate food. They train well. They don't stress about anything. There's plenty of resin, but the smell isn't very strong; a filter is necessary, and everything is fine.

    • Advantages
High efficiency, resistant to overheating (90 degrees) and overboost
    • Disadvantages
"The main cola reached a size of 4x4x12 inches and 1 oz dried, but then mold appeared. The buds are very dense and need a lot of air. Judging by the side branches, it struggles when the temperature changes; it's 78°F and fluctuates between 71-89°F during the day and night. The same thing seems to happen when it's not given enough light. To get all the buds as big as possible, it needs plenty of light. 250W HPS per plant or more."
    • General impressions

Top, I expected nothing less from Barney's. Super high but I don't know the 100% indica, I had 2 phenotypes, one with a fruity smell and a slight psychedelic effect.

    • Advantages
A strong and tenacious variety that produces a rich and high-quality harvest.
    • General impressions

Critical Kush is an unusual genetic blend of the famous Critical Mass and OG Kush. This hybrid is a strong and extremely tenacious Indica that produces a bountiful harvest. It grows to a medium height, with a harmonious combination of buds and foliage, and flowers indoors for approximately eight weeks. Enjoy the sticky high, dense aroma, resinous buds, and a powerful effect. The Kush specificity is unmistakable, and the plant's yield is phenomenal. This advanced, Indica-dominant hybrid is ideal for relaxation, pain relief, and a peaceful evening.

    • Advantages
Germination, rapid growth, 5 weeks of vegetative growth is sufficient, tolerates training very well, lush. Powerful effect.
    • Disadvantages
      Non.
    • General impressions

One of the easiest Kush strains to grow. And with that, it's probably also the most productive. I had it in 3-gallon pots with a solid main stem, but I waited two weeks before bending it. I was surprised at how thick the stems were. The side branches were also strong. For two plants, I used two 250W HPS lights. The temperatures reached 84 degrees Celsius, everything was fine. Giant buds and lots of resinous leaves. A lot of leaves overall, you can probably manage by trimming the extras every few weeks. Takes organic nutrients very well. I let it mature for three weeks before flowering and started flushing 1.5 weeks prior. The flavor is very good and it has several layers. A deep, stoned trip. Great effect.
