Critical Orange Punch: High Yields And Resistance

Critical Orange Punch originates from the crossing of Kritikal Bilbo, Granddaddy Purps and Orange Bud. This cannabis strain is a high yielder of buds with potent euphoric effects and orange-like tastes.

After the initial crossing of Grandaddy Purps and Orange Bud, the yield sizes were low, so they introduced Kritikal Bilbo into the mix, enhancing capacity and producing an easy to grow and resistant cannabis strain.

Critical Orange Punch Trip Report

Critical Orange Punch Trip Report

She has the traits of an Indica but draws effects from her Sativa influence. The plant will grow with no problem indoors, outdoors and in greenhouses, with an average height of 1.5m. She has medium node distances and medium-sized leaves, with a predominant central cola. These properties mean she doesn’t need much special care and grows under almost any conditions. For optimized cannabinoid production, flowering should last from 7-8 weeks and, and if grown outdoors, the breeder suggests scheduling harvest by late October. Expect yields of large buds, with citrus and hashish smell with the presence of skunk. Overall, Critical Orange Punch is in the High Times’ Top 10 2018 varieties because of its hardiness, productiveness, tastes, and effects.

  • Pot size: At least 12L for high yields;
  • pH: 6.2 Vegetation/ 6.7 Flowering;
  • EC: 2.0;
  • Optimal Climate: Hot/Mild/Cold;
  • Fertilization: Average fertilization with moisture control.

      Wow! What a plant! This beauty had some of the most amazing purple hues at harvest. The jars smell absolutely delicious, and the sample I smoked got me higher than I've been in a while. Awesome strain!!

    • General impressions

      We finally reached the end. She grew in a 5-gallon DWC bucket with a 254-gallon-per-hour air pump and 4x4-inch air stones. I had no temperature control. She shared a tent with three other plants (2x Gelato OG, 1x Gelato) that were DWCing under a 4x4x7 grow tent. Initially, during the vegetative stage, I used two 200W COB/CREE LEDs. After pre-flowering, I added a 125W Viparspectra LED, which used about 525W on the walls. I'm really impressed with this girl. She was the fastest to veg, and it was so obvious. I topped, LST, and defoliated—that's all. 3.5 oz is pretty impressive in my opinion. Next time, I'll do much better with her. I have about 5 more seeds and I'll plant them later this year. Happy harvesting and peace to you all! :)

    • Advantages
      The smell is incredible! The flowers are pure white, dense and full of trichomes.
    • Disadvantages
      Nothing at the moment
    • General impressions

      Place three of them under a greenhouse film, as heavy rain could be a problem with these dense buds. The weather has been awful here since the end of August, with nights reaching 45 degrees, constant rain, and extreme humidity, and they'll easily lose a pound per plant despite that. I can't comment on the smoke yet, but I'm looking forward to harvest, which looks like about two weeks away. It will be humid. All the girls are about six feet tall and too big to wrap your arms around, with a nice central cola and at least a dozen surrounding it. With a year of good weather, this strain will easily produce two pounds per plant with little fuss. Highly recommended for short-season northern growers.
