Meringue: Excellent All-rounder

Meringue is a feminized cannabis strain created by Dutch Passion Seeds as a cross between a Wedding Cake hybrid and a particularly aromatic Animal Cookies clone. This premium Indica-dominant cannabis strain is a favourite in dispensaries across North America for her delicious taste.

In addition to her lovely smell and taste, Meringue has up to 26% THC with some samples testing into the lower 20’s. This high cannabinoid content is accompanied by a sweet, candy-like smell and aroma with hints of lime, which comes together to provide a soothing, relaxing high. With such a strong genetic lineage, it’s no wonder this strain delivers XL yields of tall, dense buds in just over 8 weeks of flowering – a fantastic indoor strain! Here is some further information to help you grow this strain:

  • Medium height – Meringue reaches a final height of up to 1 m indoors and up to 1.5 m outdoors.
  • Max EC of water – 1.6 in veg, up to 2.0 in flower.
  • Water pH; 5.8 – 6.0.
  • Recommended lighting: 600 W LED.
  • Recommended nutrients: CANNA COCO range.
  • Recommended grow style: SCRoG due to tall, flexible branches.

The Dessert Of Cannabis Strains

Modern cannabis users are increasingly selective about the taste and flavour of their cannabis with fruity strains being some of the most popular. Meringue is a sweet-tasting cannabis strain, which is to be expected as it came as a result of the combination of two excellent-tasting strains.

Yes. We ship in plain, unbranded packaging. The envelope shows only the necessary delivery details - there’s no mention of Herbies and no indication of what’s inside. • Advantages
      Taste, aroma, effect
    • Disadvantages
It reacts poorly to HST, stops for a long period, and proves unprofitable.
    • General impressions

Everything could have gone well, but for some reason, the plants reacted extremely negatively to the topping and didn't recover. I can't say anything else negative. They turned out to have a low yield, only 40g/plant, but the quality is cool. I don't know if I should try again. I probably will, but I won't.

    • Advantages
      Buds
    • Disadvantages
It's tough; either the bushes stop growing, or the leaves turn yellow. Luckily, Herbies is always there to help!
    • General impressions

I may have annoyed Herbies with my endless questions, but we still reached the end. The hardest part of all is finding each other again. But the result is all the more precious for it. It won't be easy, I tell you. But I'm ready to repeat this heroic act.

    • Advantages
      Taste?
    • Disadvantages
Apparently not, I'm still not impressed. The effect is a basic stone
    • General impressions

Whimsical, but tolerable. I didn't really get it, honestly. Stone and just stone, like so many others. Not the highest potency. Taste... maybe just the taste, yes. But there are plenty of tasty indica strains out there. Fed half the recommended amount and it was fine. Washed and dried twice. No large, medium-potency plants. I'll leave that to the connoisseurs; I probably won't try it myself again—rather expensive, and I didn't find anything special about it.

    • Advantages
      The buds are lit!
    • Disadvantages
It doesn't accept mineral fertilizers, so I don't think it's a good option for hydroponics.
    • General impressions

One plant was fed with minerals, the other with organic matter. It didn't die with the minerals, but something was always wrong and it looked unwell. I tried to find the right approach, but without success. With organic matter, there were no problems. I'll keep that in mind for the future. I'll grow it again because the buds are unlike anything I've tried before. The yield isn't very good, but I didn't use any training; I was too afraid of doing something wrong. In 10-liter pots, the healthy plant was about 1 meter tall, lush, thick, with many buds, but small ones. I suppose there's no point in talking about the small one...

    • Advantages
Seems to be growing well, no tantrums.
    • Disadvantages
      One seed failed to germinate.
    • General impressions

Fourth week of vegetative growth, everything is going well so far. 18/6 LED lighting, 400W bulb, 15-liter pots, organic complex fertilizers. Temperature stable between 21 and 27°C. Currently being trained, I'll switch to a 12/12 light cycle for flowering. Two out of three seeds have germinated.
