Tangie'matic Auto Strain Info

A true gem, the almost pure Sativa Tangie’matic Auto is an autoflowering version of the popular Tangie (or Mandarin). This feminized cannabis strain from Fast Buds provides incredible harvests and is the biggest plant in their catalog. She's also one of the most potent in terms of the strength and variety of her medicinal uses.

Genetics

Hailing from the 1990s, this tasty and potent autoflowering strain is the direct descendant of the very popular Tangerine Dream that won an overall Cannabis Cup in 2010. If we go back even further back in time, we’ll also see such old-school strains as California Orange and Skunk, contributing their unique properties to this lineage.

Effects

The effects of Tangie’matic Auto are typical for a Sativa – uplifting, euphoric, and cerebral – making this a great strain to use throughout the day. It’s also highly medicinal due to her formidable THC levels.

THC And CBD Levels

Usually testing at more than 21-23% THC and around 1% CBD, Tangie’matic Auto is extremely and consistently potent. It ensures a strong and long-lasting high, with only a slow tolerance build-up. It’s high enough CBD content also adds a great deal to the medical benefits of the strain.

Smell And Taste

The flavors and smells are exactly what you’d expect from a Tangie – tangerine and citrusy, fresh and spicy. With terpenes like this, people not only choose this strain for its potency, but also for its sheer deliciousness.

Yields

The yields of Tangie'matic Auto can vary from average to very high, depending on the pheno you get and the conditions you grow in. Specifically, you can expect 450-650g/m² indoors (1.5-2.1oz/ft2) and 50-350g (1.75-12.3oz) per plant outdoors.

Flowering Time

Different phenotypes may require no more than 9 weeks (63 days) from seed to peak maturity of the buds. Others may take a week longer and finish flowering in about 70 days. However, if you give your plants plenty of room and provide good lighting, this can go up to 14-15 weeks. In that case, you’ll be well rewarded with yields that can be rightfully be called XXL – and not just for an autoflowering strain!

Grow Tips

Growing like a true Sativa, you can expect fast and explosive growth from day one. If given enough root space, the strain can easily reach heights of up to 150cm (5ft), but will generally range from 80-130cm (2.6-4.3ft). Being the biggest plant doesn’t always mean it’ll have the biggest yield to match, but with Tangie’matic Auto, you can expect exactly that.

  • The size of the plant will depend on the size of your container.
  • Be sure to give the root structure a lot of space for bumper harvests.
  • The plant may need support for its side branches.

Tangie'matic Auto Seeds

Buy these seeds if you want to grow as big an autoflower as they make them. If you do everything right, you can harvest more bud than many photoperiod varieties can bring in.

The first one finished flowering in 56 days, but the second one is slower; I think it will take about 80 days. The smell can be very intense, but that depends on the phenotype. It's an extremely potent sativa, I highly recommend it. It's a heavy feeder; you can literally water it every day! There's no better autoflowering strain on the market. A little warning for those who just want to water and forget about it: even then, I'm sure you'll get at least 40 to 55 grams.

Easy to grow and stress-resistant. This is only my second grow; before, I had a Lowryder #2, which was less fragrant. The photo shows Tangie at 50 days old. It's growing on my balcony under a standard 85W LED and enjoying plenty of sun. For an amateur grower like me, I'm really impressed with the result. I'm feeding it Tripart. The lower leaves are starting to yellow, but that's probably my fault. Overall, it's gorgeous. It smells wonderfully citrusy, with a mix of diesel and mint. It's a dense and juicy plant, and I can already tell it's going to be exceptional.

Today is day 54. Hidden outdoor grow. The spot is okay, but because of the nearby trees, the light stops at 5 PM. I wish they could get some of the evening sun too. Oh well. I spend an hour walking through the forest to get there, but frankly, I can't stand these indoor "closets," whether it's HPS lamps or those overpriced LEDs, it's not sunlight! The only downside is that I'm tired of carrying water. 25-liter buckets for 3 Tangee and 4 Dosido plants. I spot problems by looking at the leaves. But they're all a uniform, bright green. I don't think anything's missing. I'm using Biobizz fertilizer for the whole cycle and I'll add their bloom fertilizer at the end. I don't control the pH; I simply use clean, decanted water. I did a little light LST (low-stress training), bending them slightly around day 30. The Tangeees are already 1 meter tall. The first flowers are starting to bloom, and there are many! I picked three leaves, already quite sweet, and gave them to a friend who found them very vigorous… I have high expectations for the Tangeees; I've been buying them here for a long time and have wanted to try them since 2021.

Advantages: Undemanding. Disadvantages: My first experience wasn't a complete success because I decided to prune it a little too early, and it died within a week. That was my fault. I suppose that's the only drawback I've had with it. General impressions: I planted two shrubs using DWC (Down Water Culture). I've fed them with a soluble strawberry fertilizer from the start. The EC was 1.0 initially, then I increased it to 2.2 when they were more robust. The light cycle is 18/6 (300 watts), pH 5.5-6. I change the nutrient solution when they've almost absorbed it. The shrub on the left is in a 10-liter bucket, the one on the right in a 3-liter jar. I also wanted to repot the one on the right in a bucket, but I didn't have time; its roots are too dense, it was probably feeling too comfortable there 😂 Anyway, it's growing without any problems. I don't even remember the planting date. But it was about two months ago, and it's already starting to grow. I didn't think autoflowering plants could get this big. Anyway, take a look at the photos.
