Description

Bubblegum XL - Tasty and Potent Sativa

With its Sativa heritage, Bubblegum XL will grow vigorous and bushy and if allowed for enough root space and vegetation time, it can grow tall too, reaching 200cm. Like most Sativas, Bubblegum XL prefers sunnier, warmer and drier climates but does well indoors and in greenhouses too. Dense and hard, long buds will fill out numerous branches from top to bottom and branches may need some support to help them deal with the buds weight in the final weeks of flowering. Dark green in color, buds will be filled with yellow and orange hairs and coated with resinous trichomes.

Sativa dominant (60%) hybrid, a cross between Power Plant and Santa Maria;
Finishing flowering in 8-9 weeks indoors or by mid-October outdoors;
Height is 80-140cm indoors, 160-200cm outdoors;
Yield is 450-500g/m², 400-450g per plant;
Usually testing at 19% THC with ~1% CBD.

Potent and Full of Flavor

Effects are strong, cerebral, energetic, uplifting, euphoric, relaxed and calming. Flavors are sweet and candy-like with tropical and fruity undertones. Aromas are earthy and woody with hints of citrus, fruit, herbs and spices.

- Advantages
  
  A vigorous variety with good stretching due to its Sativa dominance: topping or LST is best. It has a solid base and branches to support beautiful, glossy, resinous, and fragrant flowers.
- Disadvantages
  
  A bad start for this phenotype, growing slowly, looking like a mutant, but week after week the plants recover a normal structure: very strong after topping.
- General impressions
  
  I grew Bubble Gum two years ago (my first indoor grow). We got a few plump main buds with a strong and unique aroma. After drying and curing, the flowers retain a refreshing scent. A flavorful smoke, a deep and lingering taste for a positive and uplifting effect.

  A great variety in itself

  They seem very sensitive to stress, to which they react quickly with mild hermaphroditism. It is absolutely essential to watch for massive and uncontrollable stretching at the beginning of flowering.
- General impressions
  
  Both phenotypes were very interesting. The buds of the #Purple phenotype were super leafy. The other phenotype, called #Gummi, is so lush that I got a headache when I was pruning it. 😆 The strain seems to be rather old school, as described. The result is quite decent despite some flaws and a flowering period that was two weeks too short. In hindsight, I'm satisfied and happy with the experience with these superb plants.

  These are beautiful plants that grow like trees and smell like Fragolino wine (a sweeter scent than grapes!) 😍. Expect a long flowering period; I think this is due to the high sativa percentage of this strain (or perhaps it's just my inexperience).

  Unfortunately, no Bubblegum flavor... it tastes like real Skunk, I'm a little disappointed, I was really expecting that clean and typical flavor that I knew in the 90s.
- General impressions
  
  This strain is impressive; it grows very quickly, and it's possible to obtain a fairly large plant with a short vegetative stage. Nine weeks of vegetative growth resulted in plants reaching 180 cm with approximately 150 grams of dried buds each.
