Description

Grapefruit Auto Strain Info

The autoflowering and feminized Grapefruit Auto cannabis strain traces its origins to breeder Fast Buds. Her genetic history is as a Vancouver Sour Citrus crossed with a Ruderalis, meaning this auto version is a good representation of the original with the added autoflowering trait.

Flowering Time

Grapefruit Auto has a very short flowering time, just as most autoflowers do. Overall, she takes only 63-70 days to go from seed to harvest.

Yields

With a harvest ranging from 400-600g/m² (1.31-1.97oz/ft2) indoors and 50-300g (1.8-10.6oz) per plant outdoors, quality and quantity are easily a match for this autoflowering strain, making Grapefruit Auto a popular addition to any grow room.

Effects

The effects of Grapefruit Auto are well-balanced between a body and head high, leaving you relaxed, motivated, and happy. The higher than average content of THC makes this strain useful for treating chronic pain, arthritis, rheumatism, epilepsy, glaucoma, and other conditions.

THC And CBD Levels

Grapefruit Auto has a fairly high THC content level of 19%, along with a CBD percentage of around 1%.

Smell And Taste

Grapefruit Auto’s aromas are sweet and sour with fruity notes. Unsurprisingly given her name, her terpene profile results in strong notes of grapefruit-like undertones.

Grow Tips

Grapefruit Auto is a short and stocky plant with little in the way of collateral branching. It will usually grow to form one big, long cola that will get fully covered in trichomes and resin. Due to its Ruderalis genes and great pest and disease resistance, it can be grown both indoors and outdoors. She doesn’t require a lot of nutrients, but can require a lot of light.

  • The plant usually grows to 60-90cm (1’11”-2’11”) in height.
  • Although not the biggest plant in the room, her pungent smell will over-compensate for her size, so adding a carbon filter might be a good idea.
  • This strain doesn’t require a lot of special care, just a standard amount of fertilizer and plenty of light.

    • Advantages
Wonderful strain! This isn't my first time growing, and I can definitely say it's the least demanding variety I've ever seen! Just 8 fluorescent lights, nothing else, and my plant grew strong, not too tall. The internodes are so close together that it's practically impossible to shape the canopy. Very responsive to attention! Harvest update in a few weeks.
    • Disadvantages
      The smell!!!
    • General impressions

ONE. The only downside is the smell. Two jars of ONA gel couldn't handle it, even though one was enough for the other strains I was growing. Overall, there's no better strain to grow outdoors in moderate climates! I wouldn't recommend it for grow boxes, just because of the smell. Respect to the herbs.

    • Advantages
A very strong variety with a hashish taste.
    • Disadvantages
Low yields. When I ordered 3 seeds, two of them sprouted. When I received 3+2, there was 0% germination. Perhaps they were old seeds.
    • General impressions

      The strain is great!

    • Advantages
I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this one, but it exceeded my expectations. An extraordinary variety to grow, I'm delighted with it. Very strong resistance to the elements and diseases. A lovely, strong, sweet and sour grapefruit aroma! Delicious.

A beautiful strain to grow. Nice, small, compact size and weighs quite a bit. Beautiful, solid buds, a big main cola. I could have left it longer, but due to the bad weather, I had to harvest a little early. It seemed too good to tolerate a bit of humidity, but there were a few days of torrential rain and it wasn't worth the risk. Wonderful aromas and not even dry or cured yet.

The grapefruit harvest was super high, and it ended up turning purple on most of the flowers, super frosty and smelly, really great fastbuds. Unfortunately, I only have one seed left; I hope I can win something.

    • Advantages
Growing up is a pure joy!
    • Disadvantages
Some foxtails due to some heat stress during flowering.
    • General impressions

It was a pleasure growing this strain. I love the pungent citrus/fuel aromas coming from the plants while they're hanging to dry. The plants grew massively with impressive branches full of buds with little to no framing. I wouldn't mind giving this strain another run. Excellent yield and amazing citrus terp! Highly recommended.
