Quick One from RQS is one of the first autoflowering strains ever released. She’s an Indica-dominant hybrid – a cross between legendary Lowryder #1 and an old-school Indica. Staying short and finishing fast, Quick One is a great choice for all growers just starting out with autoflowering varieties.

Description

Quick One Auto Strain Info

Quick One Auto offers more than just speed. She’s also a generous yielder, and the buds she produces have enough THC to ensure a strong Indica-type effect for beginner smokers. Her perfect ease of growth and pleasant fruity flavor are two other facts explaining these seeds’ unwavering popularity.

Genetics

Deriving from the original autoflowering strain Lowryder, Quick One inherited the legendary qualities from her powerhouse parents, Williams Wonder and Northern Lights. Her autoflowering ability comes from Ruderalis genetics, meaning that the plant flowers automatically without any change needed in light schedule. This lineage gave rise to almost all autoflowering strains available today.

Flowering Time

Quick One is so fast that you can count on having a mature harvest by the end of the second month from seed, or in 56-63 days to be more specific.

Yields

The yields of the first generation of autoflowers aren’t really spectacular. Nevertheless, Quick One may surprise you with 275-325g/m² (0.6-1 oz/ft²) indoors – far better than the original Lowryder. Outdoors, this Indica-dominant plant forms large, solid colas packing even more weight – up to 100-150g (3.5-5.3oz) per plant.

Effects

The effects produced by Quick One are relaxing and calming and not too intense, which makes this smoke a good choice to use throughout the day.

Medical Properties

Similar to milder, over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, this autoflowering Indica can help you with keeping at bay various joint and muscle aches as well as stress and anxiety.

THC and CBD Levels

Quick One has a medium THC content that usually tests at 10-15%, plus a low CBD level of about 1%.

Smell and Taste

Quick One’s terpene profile combines citrusy, fruity, and spicy flavors with herbal and earthy undertones. Its aroma is fresh, earthy, and woody with hints of fruit and fuel.

Grow Tips

With its maximum height of 50-60cm (just under 2ft), Quick One is a compact plant. Due to her small size and stature, she’s well-suited for both indoors and outdoors. This unpretentious cannabis strain can also grow on light-exposed balconies, terraces, or windowsills. With good resistance to pests, diseases, and harsher climates, she’s perfect for inexperienced growers and those just starting out with autoflowers.

  • Plants form one huge main cola and a few smaller branches
  • No kind of training is necessary
  • 16 plants are recommended per square meter using SoG

Quick One Auto Seeds

A companion to the Sativa-leaning Royal Dwarf from the same breeder, Quick One is an Indica-leaning autoflower, and your surest bet to grow fully feminized plants quickly, discreetly, and without any issues whatsoever.

    • Advantages
Everything to gain, nothing to lose! Took two sets of supercharging. Is this okay with warm temperatures? LST friendly
    • Disadvantages
Nothing. Will publish/edit anything that's wrong.
    • General impressions

This was the first of three plants (one of which eventually died). My two free Gorilla Glue autos are looking good and healthy, and this special bean is doing better than its sisters. (For your information, the other plants are Gorilla Glue autos that I received as a gift and are doing very well!) Overall, it's truly a "Quick One." Thanks, Herbies!

      So green it shines!
    • Disadvantages
It's been 10 weeks, that'll give her 2 days of darkness and trap her!

    • Advantages
Got a small space but want to grow a bit bigger? Well, this lady is for you! She's short and medium-bushy. Low-stress training (LST) and supercropping (if you're familiar with it) are as far as I'd go with this one. I'd suggest sticking with LST and ignoring supercropping if this is your first grow.
    • Disadvantages
Late-flowering vegetable, for some reason I ripped off the top a week before flowering and it immediately shrank and became pre-hermied after the accidental "top"; and I gave up almost 3 weeks to flower alongside my other two plants.
    • General impressions

First and foremost, I understand that it's my fault for killing its flower post. I don't blame the breeder or the genetics. I think it's quite easy to grow and had no problems with powdery mold. It didn't have any pests, so that wasn't an issue. The heat didn't stop it. So, overall, I'm quite disappointed, but oh well, that's how it is, and I respect that.

    Hello Zac,

Thank you for your comments on this strain; a really helpful description based on personal experience. Regarding the Hermian plant—external factors likely caused this; perhaps the lights were too close?
