Candy Dawg: OG Kush Taken to The Next Level

Candy Dawg is a feminized, photoperiod cannabis strain which is just as delicious as it sounds. A cross between a Candy Kush x Chem Dawg hybrid and a superb OG Kush clone, Candy Dawg is a fast-growing cannabis strain which delivers heavy yields of up to 500 g/m2 after a 9-week flowering period.

Excellent Indoor Yields

It is recommended to grow Candy Dawg indoors as controlled growing conditions make it far easier hit her 23+% average THC levels although those living in temperate climates can grow outdoors due to excellent outdoor yields of almost 700 g per plant. Indoor yields for Candy Dawg are 450 – 500 g/m2 after a short 8 – 9-week flowering period which, coupled with her manageable height, makes her an excellent candidate for indoor growing. Here is some further information to help you grow this strain:

  • Medium height – Candy Dawg reaches a final height of 1.0 – 1.4 m.
  • Max EC of water – 1.4 in veg, up to 1.8 in flower.
  • Water pH; 5.8 – 6.0.
  • Recommended lighting: Veg: 300 W CFL, Flower: 600W LED.
  • Recommended nutrients: Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect® Connoisseur Bloom Part A&B.

Sweet, Candy-like Taste

As her name suggests, Candy Dawg has a very sweet, candy-like taste with hints of berries and bubble-gum. Her effect is typical of Indica-dominant strain – long-lasting relaxation which is sure to give you a good night’s sleep – ideal for medical users looking for a sleep aid.

    Hello z0rius,

Thank you for your feedback to this strain. We keep all of our seeds, fresh, so it does not affect the grow whether you bought the last pack of seeds or not. It's sad to know that you did not like this strain, and your experience and feedback is very important to us, thank you

    • Advantages
      He survived and produced something
    • Disadvantages
There was mold that started growing on the seeds early on, but I kept cleaning it and changing bags and paper towels and amazingly, it lived but became too slow and produced little
    • General impressions

    Good morning,

    Thanks for the review.

Once the root has germinated, it is extremely vulnerable to external factors such as infections, fungi and mold, unsuitable temperatures, water quality, pests, and more. Common safety measures can help avoid these problems: using pH-neutral water, appropriate soils, humidity, and moving the seeds with tweezers.

The plant could grow much better if it weren't for the mold, and you've done the right thing by carefully removing that mold.

    Respectfully, Herbies Team
