Candyland feminized seeds
Description
Candyland Strain Info
This plant is a real beauty with its many thin branches covered with frosted deep-purple buds. When cured, these nuggets have huge bag appeal. Together with its outstanding ‘purple’ aroma, this made Candyland a real hit at dispensaries in legal states. The high is also truly remarkable; despite its power, one can adapt to it and find it a perfect daytime companion.
Genetics
The strain’s parent, Grand Daddy Purple, has a celebrity status because it has so much going for it: the color, smell, taste, and overwhelming stone. However, its creator, Ken Estes, decided that even this masterpiece could be improved upon. For this purpose, he added genetics from a totally different but likewise famous family tree – Girl Scout Cookies. In particular, he used the Platinum Cookies phenotype, which made the effects of the cross lighter and arguably more enjoyable.
Effects
There’s a whole class of smokers who need their medicine from the moment they get up until they go to bed in the evening. Their strain of choice must be very strong to resist the tolerance buildup, but also lucid enough to leave them functional despite being ‘high as a kite’. Candyland provides exactly that: effective relief from all mental and physical symptoms, elevated mood, and enough motivation to take on any task.
THC And CBD Levels
Although the percentage of THC in this one (14-19%) may seem not as intimidating as in some modern powerhouse varieties, Candyland still belongs to the high-THC category, and some phenotypes routinely produce 23-24% THC. CBD content is more modest (0.3%), but enough for its calming and healing properties to be really felt.
Flavors
Candyland has some of the same terpenes as other varieties, but these are present in such an unusual combination that you’ll never mix up the buds with any other. The ‘purple’ flavor is notoriously difficult to describe in words – not exactly sweet and not exactly sour, it’s reminiscent of a fruit tart, but not quite the same. In short, it’s something you should definitely acquaint your tastebuds with!
Yields
These tall and branchy plants have a lot of girth and many potential bud sites, and the yields, both indoors and outdoors, have insane potential. In a grow tent, achieving 800g/m2 (2.5 oz/ft2) of dry weight is possible, and Californian growers have achieved 5 pounds (2250g) per plant in their outdoor gardens.
Flowering Time
This period is very short for a Sativa-dominant strain. Outdoors, you can harvest fully mature buds in early October, and the flowering period indoors takes as little as 56-63 days.
Grow Tips
Make sure you give your Candyland plenty of space for both vertical and horizontal growth. Use all canopy management techniques to make it as flat as possible, and you’ll be rewarded with record-breaking yields.
