Description

Purple Urkle: An Award-winning Lineage with Medicinal Benefits

This Californian classic gets her robust genetic lineage from a specific phenotype of Mendocino Purps – an award-wining parent that has earned itself a spot in the High Times Strains of the Year (’07). Her potent Indica buds are known for their powerful sleep-inducing, pain-relieving and relaxing effects making Purple Urkle incredibly popular in the medicinal cannabis community.

Use SoG and 600 W LED to Maximise Your Harvest!

Purple Urkle is an absolutely delightful strain to grow, her well-crafted genetic lineage ensures that she can persevere through mould, mites and pests as well as small variations in temperature. She is able to deliver average yields between 350 – 400 g/m² in a flowering period of just under 9 weeks. Pyramid Seeds recommend a 600W LED during flower for best results. Her yields can easily be improved by using the Sea of Green (SoG) grow method which creates an even canopy for optimal light uptake.

Short to medium height – Purple Urkle can reach up to 1.3 m
Recommended nutrients: CANNA COCO range.
Recommended grow medium: Deep Water Culture (hydroponic) – A DWC grow will take your yields to another level! Ensure the roots are well aerated for best results.

A Powerful Plant for Night-time

This lilac lady does not disappoint, you’re sure to have some vibrant purple streaks running through her flowers. Purple Urkle’s skunky terpene profile is lifted with fruity notes and a distinct grape flavor. Those new to cannabis community are advised to proceed with caution as her potent buds can knock out even the most seasoned cannabis enthusiast with just a few puffs.

Drying started at 60% moisture for the first 485 hours, and was about 55% for the rest of the drying. Took 17 days. I have about 200g of solid and beautiful buds, the rest will be used with the trim, to make hash. So far, after 2 weeks of curing, the taste is still hard to describe. Not what I expected. At first, I taste caramel, then a sort of pink lemonade taste, sour and sweet, but without a "lemony" taste.

A bit of a racy heart and creative energy for the few hours of the buzz, followed by a slow relaxing descent into couch lock. It was a consensual favourite among my puff buddies.

4 seeds germinated directly in the ground: 100% success, 100% females.
I lowered the night temperature (-1 / -2°C) at the end of flowering, for 2 of the 4 plants, and they turned purple.
Seems to be very hungry during the stretch.
  TERPS:
Fresh apple juice and sweet smell.
Very intense smell, which made me drool during the last photoshoot :) It smells FRUITY TASTY!!! And not the lemon way!

- General impressions

From a growing perspective, the Purple Urkle marijuana strain is an absolute delight. It exhibits impressive resistance to mold. During my indoor grow, I harvested a satisfying yield of 300 grams after a 9-week flowering phase. I decided to follow Herbies' recommendations and used the CANNA COCO range out of curiosity, and I found it to be very beneficial throughout the growing process.
