Description

Fat Banana - Fast Finishing, Mouthwatering Indica

Although Fat Banana is an Indica-dominant with strong Kush heritage, it does exhibit some Sativa traits too. This cannabis strain usually grows compact and bushy with one large and dense main cola but it can take any type of training that will keep it manageable size and increase yield. If left untrained, Fat Banana can easily grow up to 200cm but it usually stays around 150cm. Finishing flowering in just 7 to 8 weeks, it will provide for a great yield of highly potent and flavorful buds.

Indica dominant (70%) hybrid, a cross between Chiquita Banana and OG Kush;
Finishing flowering in 7-8 weeks indoors or by late September outdoors;
Height is 80-140cm indoors, 170-200cm outdoors;
Yield is 350-400g/m² or 450-500g per plant;
12 plants are recommended per square meter in SOG;
Usually testing at 22-25% THC with <1% CBD.

  What a great trip! It was very easy to work with the plant; it liked being on the main line and had good tolerance to both LST and HST. Very potent weed, dense buds, good yield, beautiful terpenes... the strain is fantastic.
- Disadvantages
  
  The only downside I can note is that it started producing a few bananas (I know, rather ironic) during its last week of flowering, while the other variety in the room had no such problem. I don't think it can be stress-related because it had the perfect environment, but I'm not going to blame the genetics for it; I like to think that nature always finds a way to reproduce. I spotted the pollen sacs and removed them before they opened anyway; no seeds were found in the buds.
- General impressions
  
  The buds are impressive, some of them gigantic, and all of them, even the shortest, are rock solid. Perfect bud structure and density. The effects are heavy; I have a high THC tolerance, but this strain surprised me with a powerful cerebral buzz. The first hit hits you in the chest, your eyes go sticky immediately, and after a few minutes, the high is insane. Definitely not a wake-up or cooking strain! Mixed with coffee first thing in the morning, your heart rate might get too high. I'd say it's the perfect strain for watching a movie or enjoying some activities on the couch, but don't plan on moving your body after a few puffs of FatBanana 😜 The terpenes are tropical; you can smell the kush side along with some exotic fruits and some light banana notes on the exhale. If you're ready for a strong strain that will hit you hard, with around 25% THC, go for it, FatBanana is a reliable candidate for your grow space!

  Beautiful plant. Easy to grow. Fast growth. Large buds. High yield. Smell of overripe, sweet tropical fruits, like banana. Gentle effect. Relaxing body high. Soft effect with a creative and introspective effect. Good for meditation or enjoying music. Plant #1 has thick, kush-style buds. On the scale after 4 days of drying: 71.2 grams. After further drying, curing, and removal of all branches: 58 grams. Plant #2 has some sativa genetics. After 4 days of drying: 87.7 grams. After drying, curing, and removal of all branches: 71 grams.

  There are some things I would personally change if I were to grow the banana again. But this time, it was very resistant to high temperatures and humidity during flowering. It's a nitrogen-fixing plant, so I would definitely feed it less with nutrients since it's not a heavy feeder.

  The quantity isn't the highest, but the quality definitely is!! At first, I wasn't really impressed by the smell of this strain right after drying. I couldn't really detect that banana flavor. But now, after curing for over a month... WOW! Every time I open a jar, it's a real explosion of flavor!! Super intense tropical fruit aroma!! Very, very appetizing. When I vape it straight at a high temperature (around 180°C/356°F) without going through the initial temperature stages (I usually start at 140°C/280°F), I get a pretty hard hit to the face, and my eyes instantly go black!! Meanwhile, my mouth is coated in an intense fruity taste! This strain is slowly but surely becoming one of the best I've grown so far! I'm really enjoying it every single day! But definitely not a daytime cigarette unless you don't need to do much... That's the case again, RQS!
