Fat Banana - Fast Finishing, Mouthwatering Indica

Although Fat Banana is an Indica-dominant with strong Kush heritage, it does exhibit some Sativa traits too. This cannabis strain usually grows compact and bushy with one large and dense main cola but it can take any type of training that will keep it manageable size and increase yield. If left untrained, Fat Banana can easily grow up to 200cm but it usually stays around 150cm. Finishing flowering in just 7 to 8 weeks, it will provide for a great yield of highly potent and flavorful buds.

  Fat Banana is an excellent strain. Smooth smoke, high-quality buds, and excellent smell and taste.

  There are a few things I would personally change if I were to grow the banana again. But this time, it was very resistant to high temperatures and humidity during flowering. It clings to nitrogen, so I would definitely feed it less nutrients since it eats little.

  The quantity isn't the highest but the quality surely is!! At first I really wasn't impressed with the smell of this strain right after drying. I couldn't really notice that banana flavor. But once cured for over a month now... WOOWOWOWOW!!!! Every jar opening is a real blast!! Super intense tropical fruit smell!! Very very appetizing. When I vape directly at high temperature (around 180°C/356°F) without doing the first temperature steps (I usually start at 140°C/280°F), I got a pretty hard hit in the face and my eyes instantly went out!! Meanwhile my mouth is coated with an intense fruit taste! This strain is slowly but surely becoming one of the best I've grown so far! I'm really enjoying it every day! But definitely not a daytime cigarette unless you don't need to do a lot... That's the RQS case again!

  Beautiful plant. Easy to grow. Fast grower. Fat buds. Great yielder.
  Smell of overripe sweet tropical fruit, in caso banana.
  Mild effect. Body relaxing. Soft high with creative, introspective effect. Good for meditation or enjoying music.
  Plant # 1 has thick buds, kush style. On the scales after drying 4 days: 71.2 grams. After further drying, curing and removing all branches: 58 grams
  Plant # 2 has a bit of sativa genes. After 4 days of drying on the scales: 87.7 grams. After further drying, curing and removal of all twigs: 71 grams.

  What a great trip! The plant was very easy to work with, loved being in the main line and had good tolerance to both LST and HST. Very strong weed, dense buds, good yield, beautiful terpenes... the strain is fantastic.
- Disadvantages
  
  The only downside I can note is that it started to create a few bananas (I know, quite ironic) during its last week of flowering, while the other variety in the room had no problems. I think it can't be stress because it had the perfect environment but I'm not going to blame genetics for this, I like to think that nature always finds a way to reproduce. I spotted the pollen sacs and removed them before they opened anyway, no seeds were found in the buds.
- General impressions
  
  The buds are impressive, some of the colas are gigantic and all the buds, even the lowest ones, are rock solid. Perfect bud structure and bud density. The effects are heavy, I have a high tolerance for THC, but this strain surprised me with a strong cerebral buzz. On the first hit, it will hit you in the chest, the eyes immediately become sticky and after a few minutes the high is insane. Not a wake up and bake strain, that's for sure! Mixed with coffee early in the morning, the heart rate can get too fast. I would say this is the perfect strain to watch a movie or enjoy some activities on the couch, but don't plan on moving your body after a few hits of FatBanana 😜 The terpenes are tropical, you can feel the kush side as well as some exotic fruits and some light banana notes on the exhale. If you're ready for a strong strain that will hit you hard, with around 25% THC, go for it, FatBanana is a reliable candidate for your grow room!
