Totally Alpha OG Feminized Seeds (AlphaFem Seeds)

Takes me back to the real OG days before all these fancy hybrids (which is funny because it IS a fancy hybrid?) Started 4 seeds in my backyard like I done for 30 years - good soil, sun and rainwater mostly. Plants got shoulder-high with them classic OG leaves. Come harvest time, them buds were dripping sticky and smelled just like the killer kush we got back in the day. Smoke's got that proper expansion that lets you know it's the real deal. Pain don't bother me near as much when I smoke this before bed. They don't make em like this much no more.

Or, well, guess they do!

2 out of 5 seeds didn’t pop (used paper towel method, kept at 75°F). The three that made it were pretty good though, hoping for those compensation beans to do better?

Week 5 of flowering and these ladies are really great! 👌 The trichomes are already cloudy, I might last 10 weeks. The smell is funky and classic with a hint of spice. If the smoke is up to par with the growth, I'm raiding Herbie's warehouse to buy a bunch. 😏

I ordered 5 feminized seeds; they all arrived dark with beautiful tiger stripes. No floaters during the soak test. The sugar leaves turned purple at week 5. The buds developed dark purple hues from week 7 onwards. This purple transformation makes this one of the most visually striking OGs I've grown outdoors. The bag appeal is exceptional; every harvest photo looks like it was taken by a professional breeder.

i literally forgot i was growing this. left for a 2-week vacation, came back to ACTUAl nugs?? smells like a lemon exploded in a lumberyard. high hits like a warm blanket made of happiness. 10/10 for neglect-friendly weed. pro tip: name your plant Steve for good luck

Perfect strain for my 2x2 tent! I topped once and applied a light LST to control the height. Despite the compact grow space, I produced 78g of dense, frosty buds with that signature OG lemon-pine scent. The fast flowering time allowed me to grow another strain right after. The smoke is smooth and the hybrid effects are balanced: relaxing, but not couch-locking. I will definitely be using it again.

I planted 2 plants in a row in 20 liter beds of vegetable soil under a 600 W HPS lamp. I pruned at the 5th node on day 21, then again at each new main branch on day 35. I applied intensive LST: the branches remained very flexible until flowering in the 2nd week. I needed an additional silica supply (Armor Si at 1 ml/gal) to support the abundant buds. The flower elongation was only 1.5 times greater, but the buds were dense from top to bottom. I defoliated on days 21 and 42: the leaves were enormous (20 to 25 cm in diameter). I gave 390 g per plant with minimal larf. I will definitely have more!

Arrived in perfect condition: small, teardrop-shaped, tiger-striped, with dark brown and amber markings. They had a nice sheen and were dense to handle, a sign of good maturity. No cracked or immature seeds in the batch, which I used with paper towels. 5/5 seeds cracked within 24 hours, revealing tiny taproots within 36 hours. I transplanted them into Root Riot cubes and all germinated within 48 hours under a gentle seedling heat mat. Very impressive germination rate, no misses! They responded well to topping, producing 4-6 vigorous main buds per plant. No major issues, although they were slightly sensitive to overwatering in early growth. They grew considerably between weeks 6 and 8, forming dense, rock-hard nuggets covered in a thick resin. Some lower branches needed to be supported due to the weight. They would definitely grow back; one of the best OGs I've grown in years!

I decided it was time to switch to flowering as I heard it was growing about 40% taller (a bit of an exaggeration). Pre-flowers started appearing 5-7 days after turning off the lights. I know to turn the lights off completely for 2 days to stress the plant and make it go faster. It flowers smoothly, the buds are spread out and quite large. I watered it every other day and added nutrients 2 times a week. I stopped feeding after some sections started turning yellow (5 weeks into flowering), after which I just started flushing. I smoked it yesterday. I'm not sure about the effect yet, I took a short break. From my experience: No bitter aftertaste. I let the buds dry too long but it was still a good smoke. I immediately felt relaxed after the first hit - calm and no anxiety. Bottom line: I highly recommend this strain as it's easy to work with and it turned out to be quite enjoyable. Lots of resin, make sure you put your gloves on. I don't know the exact final yield but I'm guessing it's around 2.5 oz. The buds are dense and very pretty. As for the smell, it's not really my thing because I like something more tangy. But overall, the smell wasn't too strong (although cutting a branch of course changes that since the plant is alive). Photo from February 20th. Lighting is the most crucial point in all of this. This time, I made sure to have a lot of it. Last time, there was less and as a result, I got an unfinished product. Oh and I almost forgot! I didn't resort to any other pruning techniques, apart from pruning twice before flowering, and then again two weeks after flowering began. I let it do its thing after that.

There isn't much to report about growing it, as everything went smoothly. Even a beginner can do it if they follow the instructions. However, it's best to use organic nutrients to avoid any damage. The strain will forgive other mistakes. The yield is normal for small plants. In terms of potency, it's unlikely to exceed 20% THC, but it provides a strong and pleasant effect on the body and mind. Perhaps it's a good thing that the buds aren't as potent as they say. The taste and aroma of the finished product remind me of another indica strain, but I can't remember which one.

Well, what can I say? The reviews were real. Love at first sight is real. Good for my arthritis.

The smoke is rich, almost velvety, with a peppery exhale. Not for productivity, just for contemplating life or passing out mid-YouTube marathon.

Growing at altitude is tough: cold nights, intense UV, and sudden hailstorms, but she adapted. Grown in living soil without tillage, she was covered in frost in September, her leaves turning a deep purple. Harvested just before the first snow, the buds were rock hard and required almost no pruning. The smoke is potent but clear, ideal for fog-free après-ski. Final yield: 195g per plant, and rosin press yields were incredible (25%+). For high-altitude growers, this is a must-have.

A deadly strain

I followed Herbie's growing guide and had no problems! I germinated 3 out of 3 seeds; the plants stayed short but bushy. The smell was strong during growth (carbon filter essential). Harvested at 9 weeks, the smoke is smooth and the effect is strong. Perfect for my insomnia. Ideal for beginners, if you do your research.

This was my first grow and I messed up so many times (too much water, too close light, you name it), but these plants are still amazing! The buds are covered in crystals and the smell is incredibly strong. The high is perfect after work when you just want to disconnect. I can't believe I grew this myself! Lol

3 puffs and my sciatica magically disappears. A smooth smoke, an earthy taste, that lasts for hours. The only strain that allows me to sleep through the night. A real gold mine!

Okay, here are the grow details: I grew 4 plants in 20 gal of coco under LEDs. Growth was fine - tight nodes, and I responded well to topping. Flower stretch was about 2x, which was manageable. The smell started to come up around week 4. Like, "I might need to check my carbon filter." Buds were nicely stacked and dense, not too larvy. Trichome production was amazing - looked like they were dusted with powdered sugar. I cut them at 9 weeks, maybe could have gone up to 10 weeks. The smoke is... wow. A heavy feeling behind the eyes immediately, then a warm feeling spreads throughout the body. Not the most functional high, but perfect when you WANTED to be useless.

I'm trying it for the first time

Of course, it will grow very large if you let it. But you also have to consider all the risks involved in caring for such a large plant. It has been growing for 2 months with little to no stress. I switched to flowering when it was about 60 cm tall and it will flower for 2 months or even longer. I can't wait to finally get a taste of it. I will update the review

Man, I was skeptical about "quick releases" but this one?? was a total fire. I grew it in my tiny closet, barely checked the pH, and BAM, dense, sticky nuggets in, what, 8 weeks? Smells like a pine forest dipped in gasoline. Lightning strikes like a freight train of happiness.

Okay, honestly, my occasional smoker friend came over and I forgot what we were smoking. I took a hit off him. The guy was GONE. Like, staring at the wall laughing for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, I was there, taking hits on my bong, like, "Yeah, this is good." The thing is, this is serious. Serious, though. The buds are rock hard and glisten like they're wet. The taste is typical OG: pine, earth, that nauseating gasoline smell. The high comes on fast and lasts a long time. Great for pain, but bad for productivity.
