Blue Cheese: Stinky And Leafy Indica

Blue Cheese is an Indica-dominant (60%) hybrid, a cross between stinky and potent Original Cheese and delicious and tasty Oregon Blueberry Blend. When two were crossed, the plant was backcrossed with Cheese in order to fine tune the flavors and aromas and to stabilize the strain further. Plants will usually stay around 100-160cm indoors or 140-200cm outdoors. Due to its relatively short size and stature, Blue Cheese is well suitable for SOG setups.

Blue Cheese brings good yields in all environments and setups, both indoors and outdoors reaching 500-550g per a square meter or per plant. Outdoors, growers may expect to harvest by late September while it takes 7-8 weeks to finish indoors. Buds usually test at ~19% THC and are extremely dense and hard with sweet and fruity smells that will fill up the grow area as soon as the first flowers appear.

  • 12 plants per square meter are recommended in SOG;
  • Due to slightly higher leaf to bud ratio, pruning is advised;
  • For optimal results, hydro or aero setup with 1000W HPS is recommended.

Heavy And Strong, Ideal Strain To Finish The Day

Blue Cheese flavors are sweet and fruity with earthy and musky undertones. Aromas are strong and skunky with hints of berries, cheese and flowers. Effects are quite strong, not to be messed with. physical and body stoned, leaving you relaxed, happy, sleepy and hungry.

    • Advantages
      Top quality! Blue Cheese is one of my favorite varieties.
    • Disadvantages
      May cause dry eyes.
    • General impressions

      This blue cheese is an excellent choice if you're looking for a cheese alternative. It grew quite well despite the challenges of traveling. The final product is truly excellent. I'm really looking forward to making the extract from the cuttings.

    • Advantages
      The final taste is pleasant, not as pungent as the plant itself, but still a light cheesy flavor. I think I could have perhaps spent a little more time drying it to preserve that taste/smell, but I live and learn. The buds are very dense and packed with trichomes. The crystal catcher on my grinder fills up quickly! Overall, I'm quite happy with the quality I produced, but I'm always looking to improve! Regarding the quantity, I'm a little disappointed, but I think I know what my mistakes were.
    • Disadvantages
      No, it's nice despite my mistakes.
    • General impressions

      Such a unique flavor and really easy to grow. I would recommend it to everyone, novice or experienced; it's a one-of-a-kind variety.

    • Advantages
      Great harvest, we need to find the right remedy! It smells amazing.
    • Disadvantages

    • General impressions

      This plant has been a joy to grow; it's really taken off and is thriving! The vegetative phase was incredible; the plant grew vigorously and healthily, and I let it vegetate longer than usual. The buds became thick and very fast, and it took only 9 weeks to complete its flowering cycle.

    • General impressions

      Really enjoyed the growth. As I mentioned before, RQS genetics are the best there. A little disappointed in me, harvest time was late and the density wasn't at its maximum. However, it's a tall and well-bred plant.

    • Advantages
      Growing up is a great strain.
    • Disadvantages
      I had a bud rot at the end, but that was lower down due to my own poor air movement.
    • General impressions

      Okay, to be honest, I had an easy grow right up until the end when my fan in the room broke, but because it was in the back, I couldn't reach it. So it ended up with a little bud rot that I had to cut off. I'd grow it again with this tendency. It's a smelly bud and a barrage of fine, fluffy smoke. I've learned more about growing this and hope to carry that into the next grow.
