Description

Californian Orange: Best Old School Marihuana From Dutch Passion

Californian Orange is a 50% Sativa-50% Indica hybrid with its heritage partly shrouded in mystery. The breeders at Dutch Passion chose not to reveal Californian Orange’s parents, but this fabulous hybrid is endowed with the best orange savor on the market. With its energizing and uplifting effects, it is qualified as a social cannabis strain ideal for daytime.

Energetic

Growing Californian Orange is an easy job. Thriving indoor and in greenhouses, this strain is suitable for the outdoors environment as well. The low difficulty of the growing process also comes from the attributes inherited from the Sativa and Indica genes, providing her with enough resistance for a satisfactory development. Because of the medium height of the scheme, it adapts well to indoor environments, yielding around 400 g/m2. The blooming phase takes 9 weeks and, if grown outdoors, harvest time should be scheduled by the end of October. The terpenes levels are high and able to surround us with a strong orange smell.

  • Grow difficulty: Medium. Prefers hot and mild climates.
  • Lights: Led 300 W Vegetation/HID 400 W Flowering.
  • Pot size: >12 L for optimized yield.
  • Climate: Hot/Mild.
  • Fertilization: Average fertilization with pH control.
  • THC levels: 22-26%.

The Finest Orange Taste From Californian Genetics

Californian Orange smells and tastes like a freshly peeled orange. Its citrus flavor is strong and able to satisfy the demands of connoisseur palates. It makes a euphoric, uplifting and sociable high, reminiscent of the Sativas old-school. Well-suited for the day time, it transports the mind to a euphoric state with no trace of a couchlock effect.

It made me talkative, excitable, and happy.

    • General impressions

California orange has mixed feelings for me because my first crop of it turned hermaphroditic. And now it's growing and becoming beautiful. Its effect is incredible; it's becoming one of my favorite strains! Deep thoughts! Chatty! Laughing! Flying! I love it, so much fun!

Hey guys. This girl was the tallest, reaching 1.5 meters. She was also easy to grow, but when she reached 7 weeks of flowering, she started producing foxtails or something similar. You can see them in the photos, these white, gun-like things. And I also noticed some seeds starting to appear. Team Plagron! I'm using the seaweed flower for my flowers first, and I have to say, these nuts are perfect.

    • Advantages
This is my first time growing something 😊
    • Disadvantages
      I made some beginner mistakes.
    • General impressions

My first grow. I'm using a 1 m² grow box with a 400W HPS light and a digital ballast, supposedly 10% more efficient than a standard magnetic ballast. After six weeks of flowering, I added LEDs (Bloomed X135) which seemed to be working well. (I'm considering switching to all LEDs, but I need to spread the investment out over time...). 24 days of vegetative growth and coming up on day 70 of the 12/12 light cycle. I'm using a Cannabio soil and nutrient program. I added a Plagron booster during the flowering stage. I probably made a few beginner mistakes during the grow (overwatering at one point, adding nutrients too often at another, letting the box reach 33.1°C at another). It seemed like a long time before the real flowers started to grow after switching to 12/12. However, they seem to be doing well, despite my efforts to the contrary. I topped two of them, letting the third grow freely. The stretch was incredible (+100%). The untopped ones are 190cm (about 6'5"). The others are close behind at 170cm. I've been continuously pruning the lower leaves of the fan-shaped plants for air circulation and convenience when watering. Some say yes, some say no. So I did it.

    • Advantages
      Great taste and effect!
    • Disadvantages
      Moderate yield
    • General impressions

The world makes me feel like a child again, so vast and so bright. I felt like taking a long, aimless walk, and the pouring rain didn't seem to be an obstacle. Communication didn't seem necessary. I had no desire to disturb passersby, just to walk and enjoy the views and landscapes. In short, a delightful stress reliever.

    • Advantages
Lively and social effect. Relieves headaches. Generally not difficult to grow.
    • Disadvantages
Prone to stress, but recovers well. Good recovery can actually be added to the advantages.
    • General impressions

A cool and positive strain in many ways. I wouldn't say it doesn't get stressed at all, but it recovers quite well, its growth slowing down slightly. It responds very well to bending and light. I didn't have any mold problems, but that's more thanks to the conditions I provided, as I didn't want to put it through a full-blown survival test. Flowering is lush, the aroma is wonderful and refreshing. To me, it's like spiced mulled wine with orange peel. The ready buds just have a citrusy scent. The effect is bright and positive. Any shyness or insecurity disappears. But the thirst and hunger are no joke. I really craved beer, couldn't resist, and drank some.
