Californian Orange is a 50% Sativa-50% Indica hybrid with its heritage partly shrouded in mystery. With its energizing and uplifting effects, it is qualified as a social cannabis strain ideal for daytime.

Growing Californian Orange is an easy job. Thriving indoor and in greenhouses, this strain is suitable for the outdoors environment as well. The low difficulty of the growing process also comes from the attributes inherited from the Sativa and Indica genes, providing her with enough resistance for a satisfactory development. Because of the medium height of the scheme, it adapts well to indoor environments, yielding around 400 g/m2. The blooming phase takes 9 weeks and, if grown outdoors, harvest time should be scheduled by the end of October. The terpenes levels are high and able to surround us with a strong orange smell.

  • Grow difficulty: Medium. Prefers hot and mild climates.
  • Lights: Led 300 W Vegetation/HID 400 W Flowering.
  • Pot size: >12 L for optimized yield.
  • Climate: Hot/Mild.
  • Fertilization: Average fertilization with pH control.
  • THC levels: 22-26%.

The Finest Orange Taste From Californian Genetics

Californian Orange smells and taste like a freshly peeled range. Its citrus flavor is strong and able to satisfy the demands of connoisseur palates. It makes a euphoric, uplifting and sociable high, reminiscent of the Sativas old-school. Well-suited for the day time, it transports the mind to a euphoric state with no trace of a couchlock effect.

Hey guys. This girl was the tallest. She was 1.5m tall. She was also easy to grow, but when 7 weeks of flowering came around, she started producing foxtails or something. You can see it in the pictures, those white guns. And I also saw that some seeds are starting to appear. Team Plagron! I use the seaweed flower first for my flowers, and I have to say, these nuts are perfect.

    • Advantages
This is my first culture 😊
    • Disadvantages
      I made rookie mistakes
    • General impressions

My first grow. I'm using a 1m² grow box with a 400W HPS with a digital ballast that's supposed to be 10% more efficient than a standard magnetic ballast. After six weeks of flowering, I added LEDs (Bloomed X135) which seemed to work well. (I'm considering going all LED, but you have to spread the investment out over time...). 24 days of veg and coming up on day 70 on 12/12. Cannabio soil and nutrient program. A Plagron booster added in the flowering stage. I probably made a few rookie mistakes during the grow (overwatering at one point, adding nutes too often at another, letting the box peak at 33.1C° at another). It seemed like a long time before the real flowers started to grow after the switch to 12/12. Still, these ladies seem to be doing well, despite my efforts to the contrary. I FIMed two of them, letting the third grow freely. The stretch was incredible (+100%). The un-FIMed of these is 190cm (about 6'5"). The others follow closely at 170cm. I pruned the lower leaves of the fan continuously, for airflow and convenience when watering. Some say yes, some say no. So I did.

    • Advantages
      Great taste and effect!
    • Disadvantages
      Moderate yield
    • General impressions

The world makes me feel like a child again, so big and so bright. I felt like taking a long, aimless walk, and the pouring rain didn't seem like an obstacle. Communication didn't seem necessary. I had no desire to disturb passersby, just to walk and enjoy the views and scenery. In short, a delicious stress reliever.

    • Advantages
Vivid, social effect. Relieves headache. In general, not hard to grow
    • Disadvantages
Prone to stress, yet recovers well. Good recovery can actually be added to the advantages
    • General impressions

Cool, positive strain in many aspects. Wouldn’t say it doesn’t stress at all but it recovers pretty well, still its development slightly pauses. Responds well to bending. Had no issues with mold but it’s because of the conditions I provided since I didn’t want to impose a whole survival test on it. Blooming is lush, the aroma is wonderful, refreshing. For me, it resembles spice, mulled wine with orange peel. Buds just have a citrus-like smell. Vivid and positive effect. All timidity and insecurity fade away. But thirst and hunger are no joke. I really craved some beer, couldn’t help myself and had some
