Moby Dick has a decades-long history. She originated in the famed Amsterdam labs, but the genetic material was sourced from the U.S., where the hunt was on for the most resinous Sativa phenotypes. The result is a 65% Sativa with its characteristic uplifting and creative high, while the 35% Indica part plays the role of making this beast tamed and ‘housebroken’.

Genetics

The lineage of Moby Dick is a classic one. The goal was to take the most productive Haze phenotype and further improve on its commercial potential with White Widow. We therefore took a Ginger Ale female, unrivaled in the density of her buds, and crossed her with a WW male.

Flowering Time

A short flowering time of only 60-70 days (or even less in some cases) is another highlight of this beautiful strain. Indoor growers craving Sativa buds are often put off by the longer maturation of this type of weed, but with Moby Dick, they won’t be.

Yields

Indoor growers can expect to achieve nice yields of up to 2.4 oz/ft² (750 g/m²). While this is way above average, it’s outdoors where Moby Dick really shines, producing up to 3.3-4 lb (1500-1800 grams) per plant.
