Northern Lights #5 x Amnesia Haze (Herbies Seeds USA)

Description

Northern Lights #5 x Amnesia Haze Strain Info

Though the Northern Lights part in the name comes first, it’s actually Amnesia Haze playing the first fiddle in this strain’s genetic composition. Our hybrid contains 75% Sativa and 25% Indica genetics, meaning that it grows into a tall plant with an open structure and stretchy internodes that has a tropical smoke. The herbal and woody smell will immediately announce to you that you’re dealing with something truly exotic.

Genetics

The family tree of Northern Lights #5 x Amnesia Haze is as geographically diverse as you can imagine. On the one hand, you have NL #5, whose lineage includes Afghani and Thai landraces. On the other hand, Amnesia Haze is an almost pure tropical Sativa with very little Indica influence.

Flowering Time

Different phenotypes of this hybrid have wildly varying flowering times depending on which parent strain takes after – it can take anywhere from 56 to 70 days. If you need to grow her outdoors, you’ll probably need to take a cutting from the fastest pheno.

Yields

While not a commercial-grade yielder, NL5 x Amnesia Haze will still bring in a respectable 0.6-0.7 oz/ft² (150-200 g/m²) indoors and the same amount per plant – 5.3-7 oz (150-200 grams) – outdoors. For most people, this is enough to smoke all the way to the next harvest.

Effects

The perfect choice for wake-and-bakers, this smoke gives the energy and stamina to perform any kind of work, go to the gym, hike, or jog. Every task will come easy thanks to your laser-sharp focus and happy mood. At the same time, your mind and body will be wrapped in a warm cocoon of relaxation.

Medical Properties

A great medicine for any mood disorder, this is medical marijuana at its finest that can bring relief without the downsides of fatigue or sleepiness. In fact, this smoke will pump you up with energy and make you up to perform any task. Patients also use Northern Lights #5 x Amnesia Haze to ease tension and get rid of muscle spasms.

THC and CBD Levels

Potency-wise, NL #5 x Amnesia Haze is very strong, as the buds pack 21-24%. This is more than enough THC content for a Sativa-dominant strain. In contrast, CBD levels are low, although in some samples, they can creep up to 2%, adding to the strain’s therapeutic potential.

Smell and Taste

Right out of the jar, you can guess the exotic origin of these buds, as they have a woody, herbal, and spicy smell, and you’ll encounter every note of it in the smoke too. On the exhale, this weed has delicious earthy undertones.

Grow Tips

This hybrid has a mostly Sativa-influenced structure, meaning that the plants tend to grow very tall – up to 8+ feet (250 cm) – and have long internodes. Indoors, you’ll have to train them heavily, so make sure you have a large enough area to direct the growth sideways. The Indica genes don’t influence the way the plants look and grow, but they do make them more resistant to fungi and pests.

• Use powerful lights to curb vertical growth and improve light penetration.
• Open up the canopy and provide good ventilation to prevent mold.
• Use ScrOG or other forms of training for the best results.
