The genetic composition of Skunk strains is quite balanced, with some versions leaning more toward this or that side of the spectrum. Original Cheese, for example, is a 35% Sativa/65% Indica phenotype. She used to be available in the UK only and was passed around as a cherished cut, but now you can grow her from seeds and get the same smell and type of high.

Genetics

Original Cheese’s pedigree is very straightforward – we didn’t add or change anything when developing this seed line. As with most Skunks, the family tree of this one includes landraces from Afghanistan, Mexico, and Colombia.

As a Skunk phenotype, Original Cheese is known and appreciated for, among other things, her wonderfully short flowering time – around just 56 days indoors, with plants grown from clones being even faster than those grown from seeds. True to her parentage, Original Cheese is a reliable and generous producer that yields about 1.6 oz/ft² (500 g/m²) indoors. Outdoor plants are also big and high-yielding and will bring a diligent grower up to 1.3 lb (600 grams) each.
