Super Lemon Haze Auto Grow Diary and Strain Review

This indoor run with Super Lemon Haze Auto from Green House Seeds was my first proper try with this strain in coco. I wanted to see whether the auto version would keep the classic lemon side without turning into a difficult, oversized haze project.
The setup was based around coco with perlite and several plants in the same tent. I started them small, then moved the strongest ones toward larger containers as the roots filled their space.

Starting the Run
Grow Notes
The seedlings began in 0.5l (0.1gal) pots under an 18/6 light schedule. The room stayed close to 24°C (75.2°F), which was comfortable enough for a clean start.
I planned to finish them in 20l (5.3gal) pots with a coco and perlite mix. That meant the feeding had to be more controlled than in soil, but I liked the idea of having the root zone respond quickly to changes.
Week 1-2
The first couple of weeks were calm. The seedlings settled into the 0.5l (0.1gal) pots, kept a healthy color, and didn’t show anything that made me want to interfere too early.
At this stage, I mostly watched the root development and kept the environment steady. With autos, I don’t like wasting the first weeks on stress, so the goal was just to keep them moving.
Veg Progress and Training
Week 3-4
By weeks 3-4, the plants had moved into 2l (0.5gal) pots and were feeding around 800ppm. They were strong enough for shaping, so I started topping and gave the structure more attention.
The reaction was good. Super Lemon Haze Auto didn’t freeze after the work, and the canopy started spreading into a shape that made more sense for the tent.
Week 5-6
By this point, the plants were around 70cm (27.6in), and flower development was already obvious. The stretch was still active, but the structure looked manageable.
The buds were starting to form along the branches rather than only at the tips. That was a good sign, because I wanted yield from the whole plant, not just a few top colas.
The Flip and Early Flower
Week 7-8
During weeks 7-8, the plants reached about 90cm (35.4in). This was also the point where I had to correct the run with a flush, a proper dry-back, and a week without feeding.
That reset helped. Afterward, the plants kept developing without a bigger problem, and the buds started giving off the sour citrus smell I expected from this strain.
Week 9-11
For weeks 9 and 10, I kept the nutrient mix at the same strength, around 900ppm. By week 9, the stretch had stopped. Most plants were just over 1m (3.3ft), roughly 100-105cm (39.4-41.3in).
The smell became very strong. The carbon filter struggled with five bushes, and opening the tent for a few minutes was enough to leave a lasting citrus-cannabis smell in the room.
The plants finished close to the expected timeline: about a month of veg and 7 weeks of flowering. I think they could have been even faster without training, but I don’t regret shaping them. The buds weren’t huge, though they were dense and resinous, and there were a lot of them along the branches.
Super Lemon Haze Auto Yield and Final Thoughts
Trimming took most of a day with breaks. After a week of drying, the final cleaned harvest came to 340g (12oz) of dry buds ready for curing.
I was fully satisfied with Super Lemon Haze Auto as a grow. It stayed close to the breeder’s timing, handled training well enough, and gave a strong result for a medium-height sativa-leaning auto.
The first sample was better than I expected. The aroma was fresh and pleasant, with a light sour edge in the taste. It didn’t feel harsh, and that acidity didn’t turn into anything diesel-like or unpleasant.
The effect came on gradually. At first, I barely noticed it, then the high started building and my thoughts became a little scattered. Still, focus was possible. The mood was more carefree than sleepy, and the body side stayed light even after an hour or so.
