Dozywelly OG Strain Info

Dozywelly OG is one of the breeder’s favorite plants, as it was based on endemic genetics obtained in the Afghan province of Uruzgan. Thanks to this ancient legacy, the strain is uniform, resilient, and can perform in any garden and in the hands of any grower, however inexperienced or busy with other work. Cultivating such stable genetics is the shortest and safest route to an outstanding Indica harvest.

Genetics

The strain emerged as a cross of Dozy Doz, which is one of the breeder’s in-house Girl Scout Cookies versions, and Totally Alpha OG, the staple of AlphaFem’s genetic heritage with a rare Afghan landrace called Zalla at its core. This family tree ensures Dozywelly OG’s dominant Indica character.

Flowering Time

Typical for representatives of the OG family, this strain takes its time maturing – expect up to 70 days of flowering time – but also produces enough faster phenos that it may finish in just 56 days.

Yields

Depending on your skills, including your ability to create and maintain ideal conditions, Dozywelly OG can produce anywhere between 350-450 g/m² (1.1-1.5 oz/ft²). Outdoors, the plants tend to grow bigger and bring in more generous harvests – up to 450 g (16 oz) per plant.

Effects

The effects of Dozywelly OG start and end in total relaxation of every muscle in your body, but that isn’t the whole story. While lying motionlessly on the couch for hours, your mind will be put in the highest gear, giving you a fresh perspective on the world and your place in it, revealing the mysteries of the universe.

Medical Properties

Dozywelly OG offers therapeutic benefits that align well with the treatment of stress-related disorders, pain syndromes, and appetite loss.

THC and CBD Levels

Dozywelly OG packs some serious psychoactive power ensured by its 26% THC. This is enough to get high with just 1-2 tokes, especially if you’re new to super-potent cannabis. The level of CBD is generally less than 2% but may still play an auxiliary role in the strain’s recreational and medicinal effects.

Smell and Taste

Dozywelly OG shares similarities with other Kush varieties, featuring intensely sweet buds with floral and citrus notes, while the smoke has a predominantly earthy taste. Additionally, this rich and delicious terpene profile enhances the effects of cannabinoids through what’s known as the entourage effect.

Grow Tips

Although the plants produced by Dozywelly OG seeds don’t typically grow taller than 120 cm (4 feet), we advise giving them some extra space indoors and using bigger containers to increase yields. Another thing that could boost productivity is hydroponics. Otherwise, the strain is super resilient and adapts to any cultivation method.

  • ScrOG is the preferred technique for shaping the canopy.
  • Ensure that most buds are equidistant from the light source.
  • Remove lower bud sites that are shaded by the foliage above.

Great yield and aroma, but not much stretch at all in flower - like maybe 10%. I had to extend the veg phase by two extra weeks just to get her big enough to fill the space. That said, once she hit flower, she stacked up nicely and stayed really low-maintenance. Buds were chunky and had a nice density without risk of mold. I’d recommend some defoliation in week 3–4 to open her up - she gets leafy in mid-flower. Still, pulled 85g dry in a 3-gal pot, and the smoke is relaxing as hell. Great for evenings or knocking yourself out after a long day

I grew this one in a 2x4 tent with LST and a scrog net, and DozyWelly filled out the space like a pro. Her branching is very symmetrical and makes it easy to train for an even canopy. I ran her under a 200W LED and pulled 110g dry with only a 5-week veg. The leaves showed some slight purple hues by the end, and the buds were straight-up trichome bombs. The smell developed slowly but hit full force after curing — creamy, earthy, and a bit fruity. Super manageable plant, perfect for a quiet night harvest. 10/10 would recommend to indoor growers

Nice plant, but I did have a small issue with one out of three phenos throwing nanners in week 8. It wasn’t a disaster, but I caught it just in time and removed that plant. The other two were excellent - short, wide, and super easy to train. They both took about 66–68 days in flower and had this creamy-gas aroma that got stronger every day. Feeding was easy - moderate nutes, and they weren’t picky about pH. I’d still recommend it, just maybe keep an eye out in late flower if you’re running multiple plants in one tent.

I absolutely loved growing DozyWelly OG. She stayed compact, with tight node spacing, which made canopy management easy. I used organic soil with compost tea, and she responded really well. The leaves had this deep, lush green up until late flower, and the smell was like sweet cream with a hint of gas by week 7. I did a light defoliation in mid-flower and she exploded with frost. Harvested at day 65 and got just under 100g dry. The bud structure was chunky but not too dense to risk mold, which is perfect for my slightly humid setup. Cures well, smokes even better.

Tight internodes, very little stretch during flower - I didn’t even need a trellis. Vegged for 6 weeks, topped once, and she bushed out beautifully. Flowered in about 63 days. Dense, resin-packed buds that stunk up the room in the last few weeks — definitely need a carbon filter. Final yield was solid: 92g dry from one plant in a 3-gal pot under 240W LED. This strain is really forgiving too — had a slight pH swing in week 4 and she didn’t even blink. Definitely growing her again
