Strain Hunters – Breeding Strains from Landraces Around the World
The Strain Hunters project resulted from Green House Seeds Company, a well-known seedbank with coffee shops in Amsterdam. In search of new and exquisite cannabis genetics, three cannabis enthusiasts, Aryan, Franco and Simon, went on a trip around the world and created a seedbank selecting the best cannabis seeds from the most productive parts of the world. They visited Malawi, India, Morocco, Swaziland, Trinidad, St. Vincent, Colombia and other places. During their trip, the breeders made wonderful videos showing how cannabis grows in its natural environment. Strain Hunters started a close cooperation with local growers from different countries. To discover game-changing cannabis varieties, breeders gave their own seeds to local cannabis farmers in order to observe how the plants behave in different natural conditions.
