Blue Widow - Queen Of Indicas

Growing Blue Widow is an excellent learning experience. It rewards the patient grower with heavy yields of dense, sticky cannabis, which has powerful mind bending properties. This strain is ideal for those who do not like spending hours harvesting: her high calyx-to-leaf ratio means less time trimming and more time enjoying the fruits of your labor. After a short 55 days of flower, indoor yields for this color plant can exceed 500gm2, while those who opt to grow under the sun can expect to bring in 1.1 kg per plant given the right conditions. Here is some more information to help you make the most of this grow:

  • Medium height plant – reaches a 1.5 m final height; great for SoG style grows due to relatively short stature.
  • Max EC of water – 1.4 in veg, 1.8 in flower.
  • Water pH: 5.8-6.0.
  • Best yields under LED lighting.

Beautiful But Deadly

Blue Widow – like others in the Blue family – has a remarkable taste, which matures as she progresses through the grow cycle starting with a fresh smell during early flower developing into a more complex musky aroma. A well-balanced high can be expected.

Since I have no basis for comparison, I'll just say that Dinafem Blue Widow is an easy strain to grow if you do a little work upfront and give it a good environment. It tells you when it needs more or less of something and responds well to corrective measures. The decision to use the Cost of Maine Stonington Blend and 7-gallon root bags was validated by the results!

This beautiful strain with excellent resin production can really taste the flavors of the smoke. It produces a nice relaxed high to chill out and watch a documentary 👌 It was quite leafy but that didn't matter with all those trichomes 👍

Beautiful plant! Blue Widow is growing fast and strong. I really thought the colors would have been more pronounced. It looks like there were 2 phenos, one that looks like a white widow and the other with less thrics and pronounced orange hairs. This was under 400W HPS, I was away for the last month of flowering =( I'm looking forward to the next grows, I have NL, Blueberries, Gorrila Zkittlez, Reserva Sour Diesel and more!

    • Advantages
Resistance is strong. Compared to other varieties believed to have high resistance, Blue Widow showed no signs of mold or insect attack.
    • Disadvantages
      Nothing

The taste and effect of Blue Widow are the real winner. The taste is really pleasant. It's fruity but not really berry. Sweet and smooth. The effect is happy chill out. The happy high hit immediately. The relaxing chill out comes just a little later. What is surprising is the potency. It felt much stronger than the advertised 12-16% THC, but just as strong as strains with over 20%. Blue Widow grows very well outdoors in warm and humid tropical climate soil with a very good high. I love it. The key is to feed lightly with organic nutrients. Worm casting worked well for me. Topping at a later stage, but it will branch on its own.
