GH Cheese Strain Info

This Skunk variety boasts a cheese-like aromatic profile. The effect is an extreme body high that grows more and more intense over time. The branchy plants from this strain are very resinous, with a high leaf to calyx ratio.

Genetics

Originally, GH Cheese emerged as a clone-only phenotype of Skunk which, in turn, is a true-breeding three-way cross of Colombian, Mexican, and Afghani genetics.

Flowering Time

GH Cheese’s flowering time is around 2 months, but outdoor environments might push this a week longer, with flowers being ready for harvest by the end of September in the Northern hemisphere.

Yields

Under ideal conditions and provided the plant gets enough food, you should harvest up to 800g (1.75lb) per plant outdoors, and around 800g/m2 (2.5oz/ft²) if growing indoors.

Effects

It’s best to use GH Cheese as your nighttime smoke, as it produces narcotic effects that last for a while, gradually increasing in intensity, and might ultimately send you to bed.

Medical Properties

Although famous among recreational smokers, Cheese has also acquired an excellent reputation among medical patients, as it’s great for managing insomnia, pain, and stress.

THC and CBD Levels

For a classic variety, GH Cheese is amazingly potent. Its THC content was lab-tested at 18.5%, with a CBD level of 0.6% and a CBN level of 0.35%.

Smell and Taste

GH Cheese is a very pungent Skunk that needs a carbon filter when in flower and produces a smoke with a strong and persistent taste. Its terpene profile exudes creamy, milky flavors that bring blue cured cheese to mind.

Grow Tips

As a classic variety that was stabilized over many generations, GH Cheese grows uniform and strong, meaning you can use these seeds for your own breeding projects or cloning.

  • This strain is a bushy variety with a tendency to form many side branches
  • Its heavy colas need support while the plant is in late flower
  • It’s a perfect variety for ScrOG

1 plant was very ripe, 1 plant was almost perfect for harvest and the 3rd one might take another 1-2 weeks... but it was the end of the 10th week of flowering and I had to go on vacation, so I might have cut 1 plant a little too early... still great result!

I loved this strain! I had some issues with the AutoPot system at first, but a good flush and nutrients fixed that. Toward the end of flowering, the leaves started to turn brown, but I didn't stress because harvest was close. I did a 50% wet trim and was amazed at the transformation last week. No cheesy smell, but it's still fantastic.

    • Advantages
The plant was easy to care for and produced a nice amount of medium-sized buds. I would recommend it and replant it without hesitation.
    • Disadvantages
      everything is good

GH Cheese, Green House Cheese is the first of many cheese strains in my quest to find the cheesiest and most pungent buds. For a first choice, the cheese flavor is already present after 10 days of drying (5 days in a dark tent, another 5 in paper bags). GH Cheese was easy to maintain, no complications at all, the buds are full of trichomes and tight. From both plants, I got after drying and trimming about 85g. I smoked a little and yes, it has the cheese aroma, now I put the jars to rest in a dark drawer where they will hopefully develop the flavor even deeper.

BK is by far the best strain I've ever smoked. It might be too strong for beginners, but it's fine in moderate doses. And its heavy licorice aroma is just oh wow!
