Meringue: Excellent All-rounder

Meringue is a feminized cannabis strain created by Dutch Passion Seeds as a cross between a Wedding Cake hybrid and a particularly aromatic Animal Cookies clone. This premium Indica-dominant cannabis strain is a favourite in dispensaries across North America for her delicious taste.

Uplifting
Relaxing
Euphoric

In addition to her lovely smell and taste, Meringue has up to 26% THC with some samples testing into the lower 20’s. This high cannabinoid content is accompanied by a sweet, candy-like smell and aroma with hints of lime, which comes together to provide a soothing, relaxing high. With such a strong genetic lineage, it’s no wonder this strain delivers XL yields of tall, dense buds in just over 8 weeks of flowering – a fantastic indoor strain! Here is some further information to help you grow this strain:

  • Medium height – Meringue reaches a final height of up to 1 m indoors and up to 1.5 m outdoors.
  • Max EC of water – 1.6 in veg, up to 2.0 in flower.
  • Water pH; 5.8 – 6.0.
  • Recommended lighting: 600 W LED.
  • Recommended nutrients: CANNA COCO range.
  • Recommended grow style: SCRoG due to tall, flexible branches.

The Dessert Of Cannabis Strains

Modern cannabis users are increasingly selective about the taste and flavour of their cannabis with fruity strains being some of the most popular. Meringue is a sweet-tasting cannabis strain, which is to be expected as it came as a result of the combination of two excellent-tasting strains.

Sturdy plant, compact, productive. A lot of THC, a powerful effect. Sweet flavour
    • Disadvantages
      No
    • General impressions

Fully matches the description. Not for the beginners. Reveals its potential only in perfect conditions and with an individual approach in care. Don't recommend growing together with other varieties in the same box.
The buds are large and resinous, they smell like spices and sweets, the taste is dessert, sweet. The effect is relaxing and inspiring

    • General impressions

This is a variety for those who are ready to invest 3 months, devoting themselves only to growing. Won't be easy. But the result is going to be great. The first bush was a bummer. The second run was a success. Taste, smell and potency are incredible

    • Advantages
Very tasty and medium-strength buds. Resinous. The aroma is crazy.
    • Disadvantages
It probably won't work the first time, and seeds aren't cheap.
    • General impressions

This isn't just a strain, but a real baptism of fire. A year and a half ago, I tried growing this strain and failed. This time it was fine, as if it were completely different seeds. Of course, I learned from my previous mistakes. In short, everything went well, and I'm satisfied. I'm enjoying it and wish you the same.

    • Disadvantages

    • Advantages
Mid yields, high quality buds and taste. And the effect is fine
    • Disadvantages
Fussy variety. Prone to stress at any occasion, especially during veg, less at flowering. It’s more stable then
    • General impressions

Not bad, interesting strain. But obviously not for the inexperienced. Even experienced ones will have their nerves played on. During veg it’s especially sensitive to everything. Still good. Can cope with stress and recover while on veg. But it took 9 weeks. Same for flowering. Got 50 g from the plant at the end - not high productivity. Nevertheless, the aroma of buds and their effect are wonderful. No questions here. Just like a dessert

      Powerful, tasty. Grow without problems.
    • Disadvantages
It doesn't look like anything like that
    • General impressions

I don't know who said it was capricious. My cultivation went well. Only the yield was 40g/plant. Usually I get more. But the development was normal. No problems. I was growing in a 15L pot, I reached 1m in height. Not lush, but dense, it didn't cause any problems. Organic complex and 150W LED. 5 weeks in vegetation, 9 weeks in flowering. Satisfied with the quality of the buds. I'll probably fold it next time

      Taste, aroma, effect
    • Disadvantages
Reacts poorly to HST, stops for a long time and is unprofitable
    • General impressions

Everything could be going well, but for some reason, the plants reacted extremely negatively to topping and didn't recover. I can't say anything else negative. They turned out to be low-yielding, only 40g/girl, but the quality is great. I don't know if I should try again. I probably will, but I won't.

I may have annoyed Herbie with my endless questions, but we've still reached the end. The hardest part of all is finding each other again. But the result is more precious because of it. It won't be easy, I tell you. But I'm ready to repeat this heroic deed.

      Taste?
    • Disadvantages
No, still not impressed. Effect is basic stone
    • General impressions

Didn’t really get it, honestly. Stone and just stone, as with many others. Not the highest potency. Taste.. maybe just taste yeah. But there are a lot of tasty indica strains. Fed half the recommended amount and everything was ok. Washed and dried twice. Not tall plants of average potency. Will leave it to connoisseurs, will unlikely try again myself - rather expensive and didn’t find anything special.

    • Advantages
      The buds are lit!
    • Disadvantages
Does not accept mineral fertilizers, so I think it is not a good option for hydro
    • General impressions

One plant was fed minerals, the other organic matter. It didn't die from the minerals, but there was still something wrong with it, and it looked bad. I tried to find the right approach, but without success. With organic matter, no problems. I'll keep that in mind for the future. I'll grow it again because the buds are unlike anything I've ever tried before. The yield isn't very good, but I didn't use any training; I was too afraid of doing something wrong. In 10-liter pots, the healthy plant was about 1 m tall, lush, thick, with many buds, but small. I guess there's no point talking about the small one...

    • Advantages
The strain is unique, the growth is not boring and the buds are top notch!
    • Disadvantages
      Non.
    • General impressions

The tastiest strain. Doesn't stretch upwards, responds well to bending. Large colas, likes warmth and light like sativas. To avoid overfeeding and nutritional problems in general, it's worth considering growing in clean soil and using Tripartite; a small amount will suffice. 14-week cycle, grows quite quickly, lots of foliage, thin out a little during vegetation and a few times during flowering. It's best not to stress it unnecessarily and avoid using HST.

      Buds
    • Disadvantages
Expensive and demanding, skilled hands are required
    • General impressions

This isn't the easiest or most demanding strain to maintain. It's certainly not for beginners; even with 12 years of experience, it's difficult to keep everything under control. Of course, the result is even more valuable. It didn't work out how to get 100 grams from the bush, but it turned out to reveal a unique terpene and cannabinoid profile. The buds are a real pleasure.

I recommend it to experienced users. 15-liter grow bags, organic fertilizers only, bright light, stress-free training only, 7 weeks of vegetation and 8 weeks of flowering, stable microclimate. • Advantages
      Impressive taste and effect
    • Disadvantages
Demanding, and that is true, I managed to find the right approach on my third attempt only
    • General impressions

I think this variety is next level. Moody and fussy indeed, requires not just perfect conditions but also that the grower has a good understanding of what and when plants need. In fact, you just have to be on the same page with these girls. It’s rather surprising that Dutch Passion added such cannabis to the market as usually it’s a struggle for making the task easier for the growers, and here it’s just the opposite.
Nevertheless, only my third attempt rewarded me with something more or less decent. First grow was 2 plants. One died fast for some reason unknown, the second grew feeble and gave only 50 g and that was after 13 weeks. Quality was mediocre. Second grow, one plant, organics, the results were already better - 60 g and with no significant stress. Third attempt - 2 plants again, soil mix, organics, conditions for sativa, additional ventilation, bending. And here it was more fun - 100 g/plant in 13 weeks. Fire quality. It’s impossible to describe. Taste is really sweet and pleasant and the trip is mind-blowing. But had to spend 3 months fussing over them, living for this girls fr.

Made me feel relaxed! Like it.
    • Disadvantages
got bud rot at the end of its flowering cycle,(i dont have any in-take fans, so that poor air exchange was the main problem). despite of that it was one of the best looking and most frostiest strain i have ever grown
    • General impressions

Harvested at week 10 of flower. *68 days of flower
      VISUAL ASPECTS OF THIS CULTIVAR
Appearance of the Buds: dense, medium-small size, froooosty buds with purple tones at the end of its cycle
Calyx-To-Leaf ratio: low leaf ratio. between narrow and broad leaf cultivar, lot of light penetration to the lower parts
Trichomes: big size trichomes , from the lower buds till the top fully covered in resin
Density (weight): heavy and dense buds
      Hardness: very hard, grinder needed
Bud smell: gassy, earthy , spicy with kind of herbal undertones
      Flavor without combustion: gassy, herbal
      EFFECTS:
Instant strong effect, sometimes too accelerated but ends up with a very coach lock, body and mind sedating.

      A GREAT evening smoke!
    • Disadvantages
      Can cause dry eyes
    • General impressions

Want dense, super sticky pungent nugs frosted in snow white trichomes??? You search is over, meet Dutch Passion's Meringue strain. She's a 60/40 Indica/Sativa hybrid derived from a cross of Wedding Cake x Animal Cookies. With her complex pungent, fruity/sweet aroma the Meringue's pungent/sweet, earthy aroma carries over to your palate when smoking her and, with her high THC levels, hits you quick and hard right between the eyes. Relaxation quickly sets in with a calm euphoria (great for listening to old vinyl) which eventually will lock you down for the count. A GREAT evening smoke! I plan on pressing a good bit of this and am sure the yields should be epic considering the amount of trichomes present and the terpene profile should make your mouth water! 😎🙏

Great find, I will definitely keep this strain in my collection and grow it again in the near future. Everyone who has tried it has loved it!
    • Disadvantages
It was not the easiest plant to work with, very atypical growth.
    • General impressions

Some of the best flowers I've grown so far. Meringue produces massive, dense flowers full of resin, with a complex terpene profile, composed of tropical fruits and mostly sugar, sugar, and more sugar. Not a diabetic strain for sure. The effects are also very good: it starts with a sweet, relaxed feeling, then it turns into a creative boost, making you proactive about various activities such as making music, making DIY stuff, or just chilling out with good friends! She wasn't the easiest plant to work with, very atypical growth. She literally grew like a clone, asymmetrical nodes almost from the start, so I couldn't maintain her as much as the other strains in the tent. Her fan leaves have crazy elongated stems, creating massive shaded areas under the canopy, defoliation was mandatory to get the most out of the lower buds. In the end, all the effort was worth it; I was gifted with 128 grams of pure candy, and I was also able to make a fiery Ice'o'lator with the leaves from the garnish. If you're ready for an unusual plant that will reward you with sweet buds (in all the right ways), go for it, Meringue might just become your new favorite strain!

Very nice strain. Grows very bushy, strong stems and is very resistant to mold. The smell of the buds are unbelievable, very strong pine smell, very resinous and compacted buds.
    • Disadvantages
      None
    • General impressions

Well, gotta say that this strain is now my favourite indica strain. She tastes like woody-pine with some tones of caramel at the end of the exhalation. Her effect is very relaxed, the very opposite of sativa effects. Its a mix of a very high-relaxed travel that lasts for at least 1 hour. Excellent strain, and for sure I´ll try it again in the future.
