Grandaddy Banner Strain Info

You probably wouldn’t guess this strain’s dominant Indica nature by the effects it produces, as they are balanced between the Indica and Sativa sides and thus cater to every taste and preference. The breeders take pride in this strain’s creation – an ultimate crowd-pleaser that offers a potent high, exquisite aroma and taste, ease of cultivation, and hybrid vigor.

Genetics

Cannabis aficionados will most probably divine the family tree of Granddaddy Banner from its name. You got it right: it’s a cross of the legendary classic Grandaddy Purple with one of the bestselling strains of the last decade, Bruce Banner Alpha.

Flowering Time

As a dominant Indica, Grandaddy Banner typically finishes in around 56-63 days of 12/12 – a short enough flowering time to attract gardeners valuing fast turnover above anything else.

Yields

Grandaddy Banner is extremely generous and will reward the diligent, caring, and experienced grower with 2oz/ft² (600g/m²) of closely trimmed dried and cured buds. Outdoor yields are equally impressive and can go as high as 1.1lb (500g) per plant.

Effects

Your journey to total bliss starts with face-melting euphoria and a soaring flight of imagination, and it ends in physical relaxation so profound that you’ll feel one with the universe and have nothing left to wish for.

Medical Properties

Medical marijuana has proven its many uses, and Grandaddy Banner is the epitome of the healing benefits of this plant. Thanks to its balanced effects on both mental and physical well-being, it can take care of any nervous condition while alleviating inflammation and pain.

THC and CBD Levels

The huge potency of Grandaddy Banner is due to its 27% THC – a level that the best-grown samples often achieve. That’s especially good news for the heaviest of users and long-time medical patients. The latter will also appreciate the presence of CBD, although its content stays within a modest 2%.

Smell and Taste

Grandaddy Banner’s terpene profile is a gourmet’s delight. The sweet scent of vanilla in the cured buds is something you don’t encounter in many strains, while the combined aroma of spice and grapes can be found in just a handful of Purple varieties, all of which hail back to Grandaddy Purple.

Grow Tips

Grandaddy Banner plants reveal their noble pedigree right from the start. They have a towering central stem with short internodes, grow to a height of 5 feet (150cm), and as the harvest gets closer, display a whole array of pink and purple hues, making them one of the industry’s most beautiful cultivars. The fat, dense, and heavy colas don’t hurt these striking looks, either.

  • The plants are tolerant of stress and suitable for beginners.
  • To prevent mold, regularly remove older fan leaves.
  • Use organic nutrients to do justice to this strain’s aroma and taste.

Grew two under 600w HPS. Medium stretch in flower, responded well to topping. Big yield. Buds dense and gassy. Smells got real loud week 7. Effects are powerful and long-lasting – not for beginners.

Frost factory!! Grew this one under 300W LED and got tight nugs with deep purples and orange hairs. Smell is amazing - sweet diesel, kinda funky. Vaped some after a long shift and it just melted all the stress away. Also, really smooth on the lungs. Gonna keep this in my regular lineup.

Grew Grandaddy Banner as part of my “purple power” run this winter. This one stood out from the pack. From the moment it hit flowering, the smell started creeping - fruity with deep sour gas undertones. By week 6 of flower it was like walking into a candy-diesel fog. Buds turned a dark lavender with thick crystal frosting. I smoked a tester a bit early and still got couch-locked. After cure? Just wow. Powerful, relaxing, but mentally uplifting. Great nightcap strain.

Bro... this one’s a straight knockout 😂 Big nugs, fat trichomes, smells like sweet grapes with diesel undertones. Grew strong the whole way, no fuss. One joint had me glued to the couch with a smile on my face. If you like heavy hitters, don’t sleep on this beast🔥

Everything went smoothly without issues. Just normal conditions and minimal care, aside from watering and moderate fertilization. I pruned the leaves, and the buds started to swell. It's extremely potent, affecting both body and soul. It simultaneously induces euphoria and relaxation. The experience is rich with impressions and sensations over the three hours it lasts. Wears off gently, without a hangover, except for an increased appetite.

An incredibly cool strain. The idea of combining Bruce and Purple Granddaddy into one is interesting. Together, they create an effect that's simply mind-blowing. It's like being on a rollercoaster, going up and down as if in free fall. But despite that, you're stuck to the couch, with jelly-like legs that won't move. I grew it in 15-liter pots, did topping and stretching. The light was 600W and the temperature was between 23-28°C. Freshly dried buds are bitter and smelly, but after curing, they're a completely different story. Overall, it's pleasant in every aspect. I'm eager to try growing the remaining seed outdoors.

Seeds germinated in 4 days even without pre-soaking. Bushes didn't cause any trouble
Can recommend it for beginners, since the variety turned out to be really unfussy and not so potent, but still the effect is not bad. The risk of overdose is minimal

Grandaddy Banner really helped me with my anxiety and body pain. I’ve struggled with both for years, and this strain gave me the most relief. It made me feel calm, but also kept me clear-headed, so I could still do my daily tasks. I wasn’t euphoric but I think it’s because it’s very seldom an emotion for me.

Grows well, large colas, lush flowering. Potency.
Was counting on 3 plants but ended up with 2. Still, a worthy plant. I liked it. Unfussy and fairly potent
