Description

Grandaddy Banner Strain Info

You probably wouldn’t guess this strain’s dominant Indica nature by the effects it produces, as they are balanced between the Indica and Sativa sides and thus cater to every taste and preference. The breeders take pride in this strain’s creation – an ultimate crowd-pleaser that offers a potent high, exquisite aroma and taste, ease of cultivation, and hybrid vigor.

Genetics

Cannabis aficionados will most probably divine the family tree of Granddaddy Banner from its name. You got it right: it’s a cross of the legendary classic Grandaddy Purple with one of the bestselling strains of the last decade, Bruce Banner Alpha.

Flowering Time

As a dominant Indica, Grandaddy Banner typically finishes in around 56-63 days of 12/12 – a short enough flowering time to attract gardeners valuing fast turnover above anything else.

Yields

Grandaddy Banner is extremely generous and will reward the diligent, caring, and experienced grower with 2oz/ft² (600g/m²) of closely trimmed dried and cured buds. Outdoor yields are equally impressive and can go as high as 1.1lb (500g) per plant.

Effects

Your journey to total bliss starts with face-melting euphoria and a soaring flight of imagination, and it ends in physical relaxation so profound that you’ll feel one with the universe and have nothing left to wish for.

Medical Properties

Medical marijuana has proven its many uses, and Grandaddy Banner is the epitome of the healing benefits of this plant. Thanks to its balanced effects on both mental and physical well-being, it can take care of any nervous condition while alleviating inflammation and pain.

THC and CBD Levels

The huge potency of Grandaddy Banner is due to its 27% THC – a level that the best-grown samples often achieve. That’s especially good news for the heaviest of users and long-time medical patients. The latter will also appreciate the presence of CBD, although its content stays within a modest 2%.

Smell and Taste

Grandaddy Banner’s terpene profile is a gourmet’s delight. The sweet scent of vanilla in the cured buds is something you don’t encounter in many strains, while the combined aroma of spice and grapes can be found in just a handful of Purple varieties, all of which hail back to Grandaddy Purple.

Grow Tips

Grandaddy Banner plants reveal their noble pedigree right from the start. They have a towering central stem with short internodes, grow to a height of 5 feet (150cm), and as the harvest gets closer, display a whole array of pink and purple hues, making them one of the industry’s most beautiful cultivars. The fat, dense, and heavy colas don’t hurt these striking looks, either.

  • The plants are tolerant of stress and suitable for beginners.
  • To prevent mold, regularly remove older fan leaves.
  • Use organic nutrients to do justice to this strain’s aroma and taste.

I grew two HPS under 600W. Medium stretch in flowering, good response to topping. Big yield. Dense and gassy buds. The smell became very strong in week 7. The effects are strong and long-lasting; not recommended for beginners.

An ice cream factory! I grew this one under a 300W LED and got tight nugs with deep purple hues and orange hairs. The smell is amazing: sweet diesel, a little funky. I vaped some after a long day and it melted all the stress away. Plus, it's really easy on the lungs. I'll keep this one in my regular collection.

Yo, this strain is awesome 😤 I grew it with no issues, with thick, frosty, and noisy buds. It gives off a sweet vibe of sweet grape and gasoline. The high hits hard, couch mode activated 💀🔥 Perfect for chilling or a nighttime session. Definitely a keeper.

I grew Grandaddy Banner as part of my purple power session this winter. This one stood out. From the moment it flowered, its scent was immediately apparent: fruity with deep notes of sour gasoline. By week 6 of flowering, it was like walking into a diesel candy fog. The buds turned a deep lavender hue with a thick crystal glaze. I smoked a sample a little early and still found myself couch-locked. After curing? Wow! Powerful, relaxing, but also mentally invigorating. A great strain to end the day with.

Man... this one is a real bomb 😂 Big nugs, big trichomes, sweet grape smell with hints of diesel. It grew hard the whole way through, no fuss. One joint had me glued to the couch with a smile. If you like big hits, don't sleep on this beast 🔥

Everything went smoothly. Normal conditions and minimal care, aside from watering and moderate fertilization. I trimmed the leaves, and the buds began to swell. It's extremely powerful, affecting both body and mind. It produces both euphoria and relaxation. The experience is rich in impressions and sensations for the three hours it lasts. The effect fades slowly, with no side effects other than an increased appetite.

An incredibly cool strain. The idea of combining Bruce and Purple Granddaddy is interesting. Together, they create a simply breathtaking effect. It feels like a roller coaster, with ups and downs like freefall. Despite this, you're glued to the couch, your legs like jelly. I grew it in 15-liter pots, topped and stretched. The light was 600W and the temperature between 23 and 28°C. The freshly dried buds are bitter and fragrant, but after curing, it's a completely different story. Overall, it's enjoyable in every way. I can't wait to try growing the remaining seeds outdoors.

The seeds germinated in 4 days, even without prior soaking. The bushes posed no problems. I recommend it to beginners, as the variety turned out to be very unpretentious and not very potent, but its effect is still satisfactory. The risk of overdose is minimal.

Grandaddy Banner really helped me manage my anxiety and physical pain. I'd suffered from both for years, and this strain brought me the most relief. It calmed me down, yet allowed me to think clearly, allowing me to continue going about my daily life. I wasn't euphoric, but I think that's because it's an emotion I rarely experience.

Good growth, big buds, abundant flowering. Potent.
I was counting on three plants, but I ended up with two. It's still a plant worth having. I enjoyed it. Simple and quite potent.
