Description

Bruce Banner #3 Fast Strain Info

The Bruce Banner #3 Fast strain is aptly named after The Incredible Hulk due to its high strength and potency. This is a feminized hybrid leaning toward the Indica side of things (65% Indica/35% Sativa) that has even heavier and more relaxing effects than the original due to its 25% THC and higher Indica dominance.

Genetics

Original Sensible Seeds created Bruce Banner #3 Fast by crossing Colorado Ghost OG (an OG Kush descendant) with Strawberry Diesel (Strawberry Cough x Sour Diesel). Then, they added Black Domina into the mix to reduce the flowering time without affecting yields or potency.

Flowering Time

This strain is a fan favorite, as it takes indoor cannabis cultivation to the next level with a super-short flowering period of 50-55 days. Outdoors, the plants are ready for harvest in early September.

Yields

Brace yourself for fantastic yields, as Bruce Banner #3 Fast brings in up to 800 g/m² (2.6 oz/ft²) indoors, while outdoor-grown crops yield as much as 900 g (32 oz) per plant.

Effects

BB #3 Fast produces powerful yet balanced effects starting as a euphoric head rush that will keep you energized for hours. The Indica genetics then tone it down to a mellow buzz in the body, leaving you in a state of peace and tranquility.

Medical Properties

Due to its Indica dominance, this strain can serve as a medicine for those seeking relief from chronic pain and insomnia.

THC and CBD Levels

When ready for harvest, Bruce Banner #3 Fast produces massive buds with a thick coating of resin that contains up to 25% THC – which is how this strain got its name.

Smell and Taste

Just like the original version, this fast-flowering herb has a rich terpene profile dominated by spicy, earthy flavors and aromas with undertones of lemon and fuel.

Grow Tips

Bruce Banner #3 Fast plants grow a bit shorter and stockier than its parent, with tighter internodal spacing. Indoors, they typically reach 90-140 cm (2’-4’7’’) in height, while outdoor-grown plants can grow 180-280 cm (5’11’’-9’2’’) tall.

Trimming is a must to keep the airflow moving around the buds.
For growing indoors, use an air-cooled lamp for optimal temperatures and humidity ranges.
This plant responds well to SOG and ScrOG techniques.

- Advantages

Ideal strain for nighttime use 😍
Tastes and smells awesome 😍 😍
- Disadvantages

Buds are quite loose and airy and will be down to personal preference as to what you like.
- General impressions

A little bit early to describe the general impression, but I love her fruity/piney smell and taste right from the get go. Night time smoke for me, great with a movie. Buds are quite loose and airy and will be down to personal preference as to what you like. Plenty of trichome coverage and the buds are extremely sticky to handle even after 7 days drying. The few buds that didn't… erhm, survive harvest have been sampled and provide a satisfying THC slap around the chops along with a surprisingly agreeable taste despite the extreme prematurity of the curing process. Would be happy to grow this strain again. Many thanks to Herbies!

BB 3 Fast is doing okay but not really great
And I worry that BB3 will grow to be brittle. So, I am not pushing for growth with my compost tea. Instead I gave her rooting promoter that stop her vertical grow.
How is compost tea speed up growth? I use fruit compost tea that has a blend with banana flower. Compost with banana flower tends to lengthen and speed up growth. However, it is like bean sprout. They are big and fast but brittle.
Where I live, banana flower is plentiful and is a waste portion from banana harvest. By far and large they are thrown out. And some made way to compost tea. Fungus growing on banana flower produces gibberellin. Gibberellin stretches plants.
The way I slow down grow is to add root promoter. THis particular with IAA in it. The effect is thickening of cell walls. Height won’t shoot up. This week BB3 stop getting taller altogethter.
Hopefully the plant will be tougher.
Next week, BB3 Fast will go into larger container. This is raining season and I want the soil to drain well. So, I’ll be using laundry basket as container.

- Advantages

This is the strain my friends keep asking "if I have any left." 😊
- Disadvantages

The effects do not last long
- General impressions

SMOKE UPDATE: After 8 weeks in the jar, the smell and flavors are really coming through. The buds tightened up nicely as they dried, and the THC hit is instant (before the first exhale is complete) and can surprise those with modest tolerances. That said, the effects don't last long and can wear off in less than an hour, making them easy to regulate. The buds have tightened up nicely and no longer have the "airy" appearance that was present upon initial hit. Of the four strains I've grown this cycle, this is the strain my friends keep asking "do I have any left?"

- Advantages

Great strain to grow outdoors. Finished at the end of September. Good smell and really good smoke.
- Disadvantages

  None
- General impressions

It is a very easy variety to grow and can tolerate more fertilization (BIO). It did very well in outdoor growing and this time I had no mildew in the last weeks of flowering. It has been very good and sunny weather though.I did give it a flush. The flavor is mild and the effect is so strong that the depression is immediately gone and you fall into a sound sleep towards the end. I will upload more photos with dry buds soon.
