Description

Kush Mintz Strain Info

Kush Mintz is a 70% Indica plant that was created thanks to a lucky accident. It happened when the breeder was working on another strain and discovered a rare Critical Kush pheno, which later became Kush Mintz’s first parent strain.

Genetics

Besides Critical Kush with its potent Himalayan OG Kush lineage, Biscotti Mintz’s family tree also includes another Barney’s bestseller, Mintz, whose unmistakable flavor profile was partly inherited by Kush Mintz.

Flowering Time

Another pro of growing Kush Mintz is its relatively short flowering time. These sticky and fragrant buds will be ready in 9 weeks of flowering indoors or in September outdoors.

Yields

The Kush Mintz feminized strain promises an outstanding harvest whether you’re growing indoors (650g/m2 or 2.1oz/ft2) or outdoors (1500g /3.3lb per plant).

Effects

Kush Mintz is known for its potent hybrid effects that combine physical relaxation, stress alleviation, and uplifted mood with waves of energy bursts, making this strain a perfect go-to.

THC and CBD Levels

Kush Mintz sports a high THC content that goes well above 26%, while CBD is only found at trace amounts. This means that Kush Mintz should be taken slowly by novice users, and with breaks between puffs, to avoid getting too high.

Smell and Taste

Thanks to its flavorful parents, Kush Mintz is a mouthwatering weed variety that’s extremely delicious and loved by fans of both savory and sweet flavors. The most prominent notes in the taste profile are pine, coffee, and mint chip cookie. The aroma is strong and minty fresh with the same terpenes reminiscent of pine and coffee.

Grow Tips

Thanks to its early finish and innate sturdiness, Kush Mintz can be grown almost anywhere in the world and performs well in most climates, including cool, hot, and temperate environments. It has a dense flowering structure with tasty-looking light green buds heavily covered in resin. Here’s some more grow info to keep in mind:

  • While staying medium-sized indoors (110cm/43in), Kush Mintz reaches heights of up to 200cm/79 inches outdoors.
  • This strain is quite fragrant during flowering, so we advise investing in a carbon filter for your grow room.
  • Extremely resinous, Kush Mintz will cover your fingers and scissors with resin during manicuring – make sure to save all that gooey goodness for perfect, potent finger hash.

    • Advantages
High yield potential. Suitable for cloning and SoG. Lots of THC, good trip, taste, and aroma.
    • Disadvantages
      Non.
    • General impressions

If you grow 3 plants for 7-8 weeks and feed them well, you can clone them and set up a SoG. Give it time to develop and then you will fill an entire square meter from which you will get about 600 grams. The THC content is lower than advertised, closer to 18-20% in my opinion. The strength of the effect is medium to high, mainly relaxing but at the same time uplifting.

Excellent strain. With its parental genetics, it was very easy to work with; the symbiosis between them is the result of the successful work of Barney's Farm. The 70/30 combination is also very successful, especially regarding the growth behavior. Overall, a success in terms of selection, taste, and effect! Kind regards, Tiem.

    • Advantages
Taste, smell, strength, depth. Complexity and smoothness of the effect. Therapeutic effect.
    • Disadvantages
      Non.
    • General impressions

Excellent strain. The three-part sativa genes complement the kush genes nicely. The result is a high-yielding, indulgent plant with buds that have a complex high-stone effect. I grew all three seeds at the same time, in 15-liter pots. The plants aren't tall. But I bent them. Mineral fertilizers. Standard 400W lights. Vegetation lasted about 6 weeks. Flowering 9 weeks. There's a lot of resin, the buds dry for a long time and are cured for a long time. In principle, curing isn't particularly necessary, but it's highly recommended for those who like to go deeper, as the taste and aroma are significantly transformed, becoming sweeter with notes of coffee and fresh mint. The effect is strong, but without a powerful hit to the brain and body due to the CBD, it's definitely there. It perfectly relaxes, spiritualizes, cleanses the brain, relieves pain, relieves spasms, and stimulates the appetite.

    • Advantages
      Terpene profile. Easy to grow
    • Disadvantages

    • General impressions

By itself Kush is very pleasant, easy to grow and the plants even look pretty. But still a bit overpriced. I didn't notice anything special. Behaves just like any other Kush variety. Yield is average, 600 g/m is an overestimated, it's closer to 450-500 grams. Time during flowering was average. The effect feels like indica, very relaxing. The aroma is different, it's very rich and complex

    • Advantages
How easy it was to grow. An easy 110 grams from one plant indoors. Powerful. Pleasant taste.
    • Disadvantages
      Non.
    • General impressions

Not bad at all. Every seed germinated and produced live seedlings. I grew two in soil with perlite in 17-liter bags and one plant hydroponically. Well, the hydroponic beast, of course, grew at a rapid rate, I bent it, but it still stretched its branches. The ones in the soil behaved more restrainedly, which also affected the yield. The effect is powerful, relaxing to the point of nirvana, when you feel good, but your body and thoughts are still. The taste and aroma are a bit like earthy coffee, the aftertaste is like mint toothpaste. Overall, there's nothing special, but I liked the feeling it gives hydroponically. I will grow this strain more, but not in soil.
