Still Bubba Strain Info

The breeders went to great lengths when working on this Indica-dominant hybrid to try to retain the ironclad resilience of its parent strains. They succeeded, creating a plant that many first-time growers tried to kill but couldn’t. The same goes for unfavorable climate conditions – Still Bubba survives them all. Try it in your own garden, and after a hassle-free grow, enjoy the typical sweet, hashy, and earthy Indica flavor with a potent multifaceted high.

Genetics

No matter what ambitious goal a breeder sets, they’ll probably find some OG Kush variety or other to fit their breeding plan perfectly. For this hybrid, AlphaFem’s team took their flagship Totally Alpha OG and crossed them with Bubba Kush – a household name for cannabis aficionados.

Flowering Time

In terms of its flowering time duration, Still Bubba is a typical Indica, meaning you can count on it finishing in 60-65 days – quite a short period that won’t try your patience and can allow cultivation even in climates with shorter summers.

Yields

The diligent and skillful grower won’t be disappointed with the yields that Still Bubba is capable of producing. They reach 400 g/m² (1.3 oz/ft²) indoors and 350-400 g (12.3-14 oz) per plant outdoors.

Effects

Indica lovers might be taken by surprise when they inhale Still Bubba smoke for the first time, as the high starts with an uncharacteristic surge of energy and creative inspiration. Only later does it transition into more familiar territory of happy and euphoric relaxation, which lasts for hours.

Medical Properties

Thanks to Still Bubba's dual action, it effectively alleviates both emotional issues like stress and depression and physical symptoms such as aches and pains.

THC and CBD Levels

With a THC content of 26%, Still Bubba is exceptionally potent, making it an excellent choice for concentrate and edible production. Whatever form of consumption you prefer, treat the issue of dosing seriously and start low and slow. The level of CBD may vary but stays under 2%.

Smell and Taste

The terpene composition of Still Bubba is phenomenally varied, and so is the flavor profile that these aromatic substances create. While being overwhelmed by an intensely sweet scent and a hash-like and earthy taste, you can also detect other Kushy notes, plus those of spices and even nuts.

Grow Tips

Still Buba is one of the more compact plants in our collection, seldom growing to more than 120 cm (4 feet). With its sturdy branches and short internodes, it creates a short, bushy profile that’s perfect for small setups. However, it’s outdoor gardens where these genetics shine thanks to their exceptional adaptability to subpar conditions and resistance to spells of harsh weather.

  • Try Still Bubba in climates with short summers where other strains have failed.
  • Lowering temperatures before harvest can accentuate the plant’s purple colors.
  • Although highly mold-resistant, it's important to protect the plants from heavy rains.

A terribly soothing aroma. I overripened it slightly at harvest, as I later discovered. I was aiming for a certain level of ripeness. As a result, there was a lot of amber, and now, after smoking it, I just shut up and sit with my eyes closed or barely open, savoring the euphoria and just being.

A powerful indica with a powerful trip. It smells extremely strong! 🤯 It's really good. The only problem is that the smell is very strong, but the result is worth it.

    • Advantages
      Trouble-free, resinous, stress-resistant.
    • Disadvantages
If you're being critical, the yield is average indoors.
    • General impressions

It's easy to grow. At least, I didn't encounter any problems. However, proper care is needed for any cannabis. It flowers quickly – 8 weeks and it's ready to harvest if you've used stimulants and bright light. It handles pruning well and stretches nicely. There are many colas. Resin is abundant. The aroma is divine, with a rich, hash-like quality. The effect is typical of indica strains. Everything is as expected.
