Somango Feminized Seeds (Herbies Seeds USA)
Description
Somango Strain Info
Somango is a hybrid strain with a spicy, fruity aroma that will catch your attention from across the room. With above-average THC levels, this is quite a potent strain that delivers a powerful cerebral high, leaving users happy, uplifted, and energized after just a couple of tokes.
Genetics
Somango has very reliable and stable genetics thanks to being a cross of two legendary strains, Super Skunk and Jack Herer. The former is an Indica-dominant weed that descends from none other than Skunk #1 and an Afghani landrace, while the latter is a Sativa-leaning hybrid combining Northern Lights #5, Shiva Skunk, and Haze genetics. The end result is a 70% Indica/30% Sativa strain that offers an incredible relaxing body high coupled with a euphoric head rush.
Flowering Time
As far as Indicas go, Somango has a moderate flowering time of around 63 days. Outside, Somango flourishes in warm climates. If you plant it in July, the buds should be ready for trimming in late September/early October.
Yields
When growing indoors, you can expect to fill your jars with 1.5 oz/ft² (450 g/m²) of this glorious bud come harvest time. In outdoor gardens, Somango yields around ~1 lb (450 g) per plant.
Effects
Due to the presence of Sativa genes in its genetic makeup, Somango acts both upon the body and mind when consumed. The high starts with a gentle tingle in your head that quickly moves down your body and evolves into an uplifting sensation that leaves you giggly and happy. After about an hour or so, you'll start to feel sleepy. While not the best choice for daytime use, it’s perfect for an evening or nighttime smoke.
Medical Properties
Medical marijuana patients praise Somango for its ability to help manage physical ailments such as migraines, arthritis, and pain. It can also be efficient in tackling mental/behavioral conditions such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and insomnia.
THC and CBD Levels
Somango boasts impressive THC levels in the 19-21% range, while its CBD content is insignificant.
Smell and Taste
The first thing that will come to your attention when you get the chance to smell Somango is a bright mix of tropical fruits with a distinct kick of mango. When smoked, it will also leave a slightly sour taste in your mouth.
Grow Tips
Seeds of this strain grow into tall and fruitful plants, especially when planted in a warm climate with plenty of sunlight and sheltered from frost and cold. Despite their Indica dominance, the plants grow to a medium height of 3-4 feet (120-150 cm).
- This plant thrives in humid conditions with a lot of light. Ensure that the temperature stays around 70°F.
- To encourage bud production, trim the wide leaves at the upper part of the plant to let more light through to the lower stems.
- If you want your buds to express blue and purple colors, you need to subject the plant to cold temps at night during the growing stage. If you’re growing outside, plant it toward the end of the growing season to achieve those hues.
