Auto Orange Bud Strain Info

Auto Orange Bud is another excellent strain by breeder Dutch Passion. It grows compactly, meaning it's ideal for cultivators looking to keep a low profile. This sophisticated strain required several years of development, but it was worth the wait!

Genetics

Its family tree includes Orange Bud and Auto Daiquiri Lime, both known for their citrus flavors and high potency. That lineage also contributes to this strain’s prominent Sativa dominance.

Flowering Time

This strain has an overall flowering time of only 77 days from seed. It’s ideal for those growers stuck with shorts summers, but it’s also great for those who want both a rapid and productive strain in general.

Yields

While it will grow well outdoors, it prefers staying indoors where you can give it lots of light for bigger yields. You will see a large harvest without much effort or prior experience – about 400-500g/m² (1.31-1.64oz/ft2).

Effects

This potent strain offers consumers a classic uplifting Sativa effect. You can anticipate a surge of creativity and a desire to be productive.

THC and CBD Levels

You won't find any CBD content in this strain. However, you will find extremely high THC content of 26%, making it well worth growing for recreational use.

Smell and Taste

The strain has an exquisite orange and fruit terpene profile resembling the original Orange Bud. Even while growing, it produces a pleasant, albeit skunky, aroma.

Grow Tips

This strain’s autoflowering properties mean that the bud won’t have to undergo a change in light cycles in order to start growing thick, resinous buds from the vegetation stage. This is a huge advantage for those who want to stick with the same light cycle throughout the whole process. It’s also easier for outdoor growers, making the plant incredibly tough, compact, and easy to cultivate throughout the whole 11 weeks of growing. It should grow fairly compact, meaning it’s ideal for the discreet grower who wants to keep a low profile.

  • This strain is easy to grow and has a rapid turnaround, making it perfect for beginners
  • The recommended light schedule is 20/4 throughout the cycle

    • Advantages
Not too hard, not too easy, but average.
    • Disadvantages
Low resistance to stress, mold and rot.
    • General impressions

The first plant yielded 78.3g, the second 64.2g, making 142 in total. The smell upon opening the cans is simply incredible. This is an 80s Skunk - natural orange, some cedar, wood, furniture polish, and a slight sweetness. Quite a few buds, but I noticed a lot of rot, especially on the thick tops. It seems this autoflower isn't that resilient. I've been using the same setup for several years, but this is the first time the rot has hit this hard. This smoke does indeed bring me into that really mellow, old-school, "you can't make me mad tonight" state of relaxation. The strain is more "reserved" than I expected. Maybe less sativa, but in a good way. Motivation, mood elevation, sociability, joy, positivity but also a decent heaviness.

    • Advantages
      High immunity, medium difficulty
    • Disadvantages
      Non.
    • General impressions

In terms of size, I can't call it a mutant, but it can certainly withstand high stress loads. During training, one of the colas broke, but it doesn't seem to have bothered her much. Generous harvest and great taste!

    • Advantages
Not hard to grow, maybe just a tiny bit
    • Disadvantages
Prone to stress, overly warmth-loving, have to be careful
    • General impressions

Living up to its name - delicious, sticky, citrusy sativa. This was not my best outdoor experience, which is why I conclude this hybrid either prefers indoor or a climate I simply can’t provide. Still happy after all - excellent bud quality, will be sure to try it again.

A perfect creation for indoor use. It's compact, has no treacherous odor, is productive, and has plenty of power. I don't know how this car performs outdoors, but I suspect most weather conditions shouldn't be a problem. However, it's best to protect it from pests, as it's a real treat. If I were a bee, I'd definitely make honey from it.
