It’s especially recommended for late evening or nighttime use to veg out and alleviate stress.
Description
Big Bud Fast Version Strain Info
This Indica-dominant variety is part of the Herbies Seeds USA lineup of classic strains bred for extra-short flowering time without compromising any of their special qualities. With Big Bud FV, we made sure to retain the large flowers and frostiness of the original strain while shaving off a couple of weeks from her grow cycle.
Genetics
To create this super-fast hybrid, the old-school Big Bud was crossed with another cultivar that we’d prefer to keep secret for now. The result is the same plant that’s been delighting growers and smokers for decades but with a much shorter flowering time.
Flowering Time
Producing extra-large buds doesn’t need to take a long time, and this fast version of Big Bud is ready for a trim in as little as 50 days after germination. It’s very convenient indoors, but outdoor growers will appreciate such a short flowering time even more, as they’ll be able to harvest their crops in September.
Yields
True to her name, Big Bud Fast Version produces large and dense nuggets with above-average yields of 1.6 oz/ft² (500 g/m²) indoors and up to 21 oz (600 g) per plant outdoors.
Effects
The effects of Big Bud Fast Version have the same qualities you’d expect from a classic Indica – deep and blissful relaxation of the entire body. What may come as a surprise is the initial rush of euphoria and great mood with strong cerebral stimulation.
Medical Properties
Big Bud Fast Version is a great daytime medicine, as it helps to keep pain at bay and is effective against serious conditions such as arthritis. Patients suffering from insomnia also report better duration and quality of sleep.
THC and CBD Levels
With a comfortably medium THC content of 17%, Big Bud Fast Version is a terrific smoke for most users. There’s almost no CBD to offset the psychoactive effects of THC, which means you’ll only need to take a hit or two to get as high as you need.
Smell and Taste
If you love Kush, you’ll find the terpene profile of Big Bud quite to your liking. Even the smell of the buds has a strong earthy influence, while the taste is pure earth with a fruity exhale and whiffs of spice.
Grow Tips
If you have a tight indoor grow space or want to have a discreet grow in your backyard, Big Bud Fast Version may well be the right choice. The word ‘Big’ in the name refers to the size of the flowers only and not to the plants themselves – they don’t grow taller than 2’7"-3’11" (80-120 cm) even if left completely untrained.
- Expect compact bushes that will benefit from defoliation.
- You can get decent results even with weaker lights.
- Make sure you use a carbon filter when growing more than one plant.
