Description
Laughing Buddha Strain Info
Laughing Buddha from breeder Barney’s Farm is a 80% Sativa-dominant cannabis strain whose origin is a cross between Thai and Jamaican landraces. As a winner of the High Times Cannabis Cup, she’s a highly impressive strain with yields usually testing at more than 20% THC and between 1-2% CBD. This terpene-loaded strain will delight all who choose to grow it.
Flowering Time
With a flowering time of 70-75 days, this lady is in no rush, although she’s still relatively fast for a Sativa. However, growers will be rewarded for their patience by bountiful crops and uplifting effects. Outdoors, she finishes in late October.
Yields
Laughing Buddha delivers great yields. Indoor growers can expect to harvest between 450-600g/m2 (1.47-1.97oz/ft2), while outdoor operations can net 700g (24.69 oz) per plant.
Effects
The effects of Laughing Buddha are highly energetic. She’ll leave you feeling uplifted and creative while helping you relax, making her a nice strain to use throughout the day.
THC And CBD Levels
Usually testing at 18-22% THC and 1-2% CBD, her THC and CBD content levels make this strain a good choice for both recreational and medicinal users.
Smell And Taste
The terpene profile of Laughing Buddha promotes aromas that are sweet and fresh, reminiscent of exotic fruits. Her flavors are equally enticing: spicy and fruity, reminiscent of roasted pepper, pineapple, or lemons.
Grow Tips
As with any cross of various landraces, Laughing Buddha has good resistance to pests and disease. Pair this with a relatively short flowering period for a Sativa of just 10-11 weeks, and this strain is great for growing both indoors and outdoors. During flowering, it will stretch and double in size while its branches become covered in long, sticky, resinous buds. Other grow info to help you out:
- The height will only reach 100-110cm (3’3”-3’7”).
- In later weeks of flowering, branches could use additional support to deal with the weight of the buds.
- 12 plants are recommended per square meter in SOG setups.
