The history of this West Coast classic starts in San Francisco in 2003. From there, Grandaddy Purple went on to conquer the world thanks to her outstanding flavors of grapes, pine, and spice, as well as her relaxing effects. We created Grandaddy Purple Auto as a tribute to the original but with the added bonus of automatic flowering.
Genetics
The genetic lineage of this auto goes back to such diverse hybrids and landraces as Mendo Purps, Skunk, and Afghani. The resulting purple plant was then crossed with a Ruderalis phenotype to get a cultivar that flowers automatically but doesn’t lose on the original’s outstanding quality.
