Northern Light is a must-have Indica hybrid from legendary The Bulldog Seeds, praised for her potential to knock users off their feet with a euphoric body high that penetrates muscle aches and pains. Her crystal-encrusted buds are infused with the aroma and flavor of sweet lemon candy – now that’s a sugar high!
Description
Northern Light Strain Info
The Bulldog was the first cannabis coffee shop to open doors in Amsterdam over 45 years ago, and their team has since continued to make history as cannabis strain developers. It makes sense that seed breeders with this origin story could come up with a strain as legendary as Northern Light, one of the cornerstones of marijuana hybrid strain breeding.
Genetics
Bulldog Seeds has created the ultimate Northern Light phenotype with an expert cross between Skunk #1 and Northern Light. This 80% Indica dominant strain brings out the best in her family tree, delivering a balanced yet intense high accompanied by a body stone with incredible potency.
Flowering Time
In true Indica fashion, Northern Light is a fast grower and not too fussy. Plants grown outdoors will be ready for harvest in late September to early October. She stays small in her 56 days of flowering time indoors, but don’t let that fool you – Northern Light produces fantastic yields despite her short statute!
Yields
Expect high yields with Northern Light, whether you grow her indoors, outdoors, or in a greenhouse. The plants grow rapidly and, come harvest time, will be covered in sparkling trichomes. Indoor grow operations can see yields of 500-600g/m² (14.7-17.7oz/yd²), while according to growing forums, outdoor plants are capable of delivering up to 900g (26.5 oz) per plant.
Effects
The effects of Northern Light are a unique combination of the highs offered by her parents. Skunk #1 comes through in the stress relief and powerful euphoria, and Northern Light steals the show with both psychoactive and body effects, resulting in a long-lasting high that totally relaxes the muscles and sets the mind at ease.
THC And CBD Levels
Settling back with some Northern Light bud is a surefire way to have a relaxing evening! The percentage of THC in this strain is nothing to sniff at – these potent buds contain 20% THC, along with CBD levels up to 1%.
Smell And Taste
Northern Light from Bulldog Seeds has a unique flavor profile compared to other phenotypes of NL. Through expert breeding between NL and Skunk #1, the originally quite mild and discreet flavors are dialed up a notch here, and its limonene terpenes are super apparent. The flavors and aromas are more pronounced, enveloping the user in a cloud of lemony-sweet smoke.
Grow Tips
These ladies stay short and stocky throughout their entire grow cycle, showing off their Indica side! Branches are thick and sturdy, and will be covered in dense, sparkly buds that are perfect for concentrates.
- Plants are short in height, usually reaching around 70-110cm (28-43 inches).
- Northern Light was developed to thrive indoors, and will love all the artificial light you can give her!
- She’s appropriate for growers with little to no experience – just be ready to put in the work to see the results.
