Mimosa Feminized Seeds (Herbies Seeds USA)
Description
Mimosa Strain Info
When creating this cultivar, we made sure to retain all the uplifting qualities of this tropical weed and only added 40% Indica genes to make the cross more productive and shorten its flowering period. What we got is a tasty and potent strain that can be easily grown both indoors and outdoors.
Genetics
The family tree of Mimosa includes the mouth-watering genetics of Purple Punch and Clementine – two of the strains that became the next generation of cutting-edge North American genetics.
Flowering Time
When grown indoors, Mimosa will take 63 to 70 days from the moment you reprogram your timer to 12/12. Outdoors, the flowering time is short enough for the plants to reach full maturity, but only in a Mediterranean type of climate.
Yields
One of Mimosa’s highlights is its over-the-top productivity, which will allow you to harvest 2.4-2.8 oz/ft² (750-850 g/m²) indoors. Outdoors, its yields reach 3.3-4.5 pounds (1500-2100 grams) per plant. However, be prepared for the plant’s correspondingly large size!
Effects
Mimosa has become so popular thanks to her extremely enjoyable effects. These are characterized by limitless euphoria, but not the kind that will distract you from being productive. On the contrary, you’ll be filled with creative ideas and have the energy and focus to do whatever needs to be done.
Medical Properties
For a Sativa-dominant hybrid, Mimosa is surprisingly effective against bodily discomforts. Patients use it to relieve aches and pains, such as those caused by arthritis. If taken a couple of hours before bedtime, this weed is also an effective sleep aid.
THC and CBD Levels
In the competitive medical and recreational market of the U.S., Mimosa stands out with her over-the-top THC content. Well-groomed samples routinely test at 28-30%, while CBD is almost nowhere to be seen.
Smell and Taste
Mimosa buds are naturally overflowing with terpenes, especially when grown organically, creating a pungent but pleasant smell of sweet citrus fruit against a piney backdrop. This bold aroma is matched by a similar and equally strong taste.
Grow Tips
Mimosa plants are beginner-friendly, as their hybrid vigor results in strong growth and resistance to stress and disease. We only advise that you pay extra attention to canopy management to curb this strain’s propensity to fill in all the space she gets. While relatively compact indoors at 3-3.5 ft, or 90-110 cm, she forms quite big bushes outdoors – up to 6-7.5 ft (180-220 cm).
- Use tall grow tents with large enough floor space.
- Always LST your plants and install a ScrOG net if you can.
- Use powerful lights that can penetrate the whole depth of the canopy.
- Trim the lower growth that’s shaded or too far from the light.
