Pineapple Chunk Strain Info

Pineapple Chunk from Barney’s Farm is an 80% Indica-dominant cannabis hybrid and one of the most hard-hitting strains in their collection. It fully deserves its Indica Cup that it won in 2009. While it’s not the easiest variety to grow, those that master it will be generously rewarded.

Genetics

A cross between Pineapple, Skunk #1, and Cheese, this plant combines many influences and thus has many phenotypes. But don’t worry – with a family tree like this, any pheno will be worth your time and effort.

Effects

The effects are energetic, euphoric, and cerebral at first, followed by a calming, relaxing, and even couch-locked feeling to leave you happily sleepy.

THC And CBD Levels

The THC content tests at 25% on average, which means the smoke packs a punch and is also very effective at treating chronic pain and insomnia. The level of CBD is also significant – at 1.1%, this strain can be considered a therapeutic variety.

Smell And Taste

The lavish terpene profile accounts for aromas that are earthy and cheesy, with hints of pineapple. The flavors are sweet and fruity, with cheesy and piney undertones.

Yields

The amount of bud you can harvest depends on your growing skills, the setup, and the phenotype. However, with care and patience, you should be rewarded with around 600g/m² (2oz/ft²) indoors.

Flowering Time

Buds can be ready for harvest in just 8-9 weeks of flowering time, but some plants that lean more to the Sativa side can take longer to mature. According to the breeder, plants grown outdoors finish in late September.

Grow Tips

The strain will generally grow one main big, long cola that goes from top to bottom, but can handle any type of training technique or method you choose. The plant height will be about 90-100cm (3-3.3ft) and will grow hard, dense, large buds that can easily be affected by mold or mildew. Providing a less humid environment during flowering will therefore help to ensure a healthy harvest. The strain can be a bit peculiar and tricky at times, so some experience and knowledge are recommended before planting these seeds.

  • This is a short plant that’s perfect for indoor growing.
  • Perform topping or FIMming for multiple colas and increased yields.

Buy these feminized seeds if you want ounces of dank, cheese-smelling buds from every plant in your garden. No stray males will bother you on your way to a top-quality harvest.

    • Advantages
Yield, easy to grow, powerful and long-lasting magical effect
    • Disadvantages
It tastes like pine resin, not my cup of tea
    • General impressions

The buds smell amazing, but the taste is a bit disappointing. Unpleasant, makes you want to spit and cough. But the effect is something else. A great mix of euphoria and relaxation with heightened sensitivity. Maybe it's good that the relaxation is strong, otherwise you'd do crazy things. Because you feel adventurous but can't do anything about it. Now, let's talk about the growing process. Germination is 3 out of 3. Three 18-liter pots were too big, so I took two 10-liter pots and one 12-liter pot. I trained the one in the 12-liter pot. And I have to say, I did the right thing. I didn't train the other two, and they turned into small plants with almost no leaves. The centers are certainly strong with a huge bud, and the lateral ones weren't as strong. But the formed plant is beautiful and lush. Obviously, they were in vegetation for a long time—9 weeks. So the plants grew to a meter tall and no more. They flowered for 9 weeks. With the one I finally trained, the yield was twice as high. I fed them entirely organically. I must say they eat moderately. They like light. The humidity is 65% in the vegetative phase and about 55% in the flowering phase; I couldn't lower it any lower. The ventilation is good; I also removed the excess.

    • Advantages
      Resilience, recovers easily from stress
    • Disadvantages
Break the grow tent from the inside :D I guess he wants to be outside so bad :) Maybe he's claustrophobic and feels lonely inside the tent
    • General impressions

Excellent strain! I don't know what else to say. All the seeds sprouted without any problems. It grows quickly and keeps going until the end... the buds are almost finished but it keeps going. I've never seen this before, maybe I missed something :) The effect is mind-blowing, you're just full of creative energy :)

    • Advantages
High THC content. Good yield, fast growth and flowering.
    • General impressions

Like any other weed. Strong. Not too big, recovers easily from stress, and grows very quickly. The taste and smell are intense but not pineapple-y enough. Anyway, I wasn't expecting much from a skunk cheese blend. The effect is balanced and pleasant.

Great strain if it grows well, the intense heat really doesn't help, 90 degrees is too much as it turned out, don't overfeed it as well. Overall a very good strain

    • Advantages
      - Good robust indica; - Grows well.
    • Disadvantages
      - Poor performance
    • General impressions

Good strain, although I don't think it fits the description of 25% THC but other than that, a good strong indica. Definitely an evening strain, you can't get up from the couch for an hour and a half or two. It grows well, hydro setup (27 days of vegetation, HPS 600) - as a result, on average, they grew less than 1.3 m high, it already had to be bent in the 5th week of flowering. The phenotype of the two plants was completely different: one like an indica, the second was more lively. Nevertheless, both were exclusively indica. The yield, despite all the bends, was average, I would say 650 g/m² is not at all that, but those who do not chase super yields will do well. But the flowering time in optimal conditions is shorter, you need a microscope. The first plant was cut on day 54, the second on day 57. And I think I overexposed it, I just didn't have a microscope at hand, and if it had lasted 9 weeks, there would have been nothing but dormant cannabinol. By the way, the manufacturer says: 50-60 days of flowering. One stage.
