Auto Blackberry Kush Strain Info

Auto Blackberry Kush is a descendant of the original Blueberry and dark-leaved tarred Kush cannabis. Auto Blackberry Kush turned out to be a surprisingly good Indica-dominant hybrid. Plant leaves change color as they mature and by the time they reach full maturation, the plants produce heavy purple buds, nestled among dark leaves.

Genetics

With an extensive family tree, the Auto Blackberry Kush that is known and loved today originates from the lineage of Kush crossed with the original Blueberry strain.

Yield

With beautifully big yields both indoor and outdoor, this strain is ready to harvest in just 70 days, producing up to 500g/m2 (1,64oz/ft2) of yummy bud.

Effects

Effects of Auto Blackberry Kush can be described as a combination of the powerful Indica stone effect and an uplifting euphoric mind feel, ideal for squashing anxiety and worry after a long hard day out in the world.

THC and CBD Level

You can enjoy high THC levels between 22-26% when you indulge in this delicious strain.

Smell and Taste

The first impression of Auto Blackberry Kush is a refreshing fruity taste with a tantalizing sweet flavor. Unexpectedly, the blueberry influence is not too strong as the terpene profile is dominated by Kush characteristics. This plant will appeal to those who love high-quality fragrant buds with a good balance of sweet and savory in the flavor.

I've been smoking gorilla glue daily for the past few weeks. The gg4 has a fantastic high, very consistent, smooth, yet intense at the same time. With a great headband. When I tried the first bowl of blackberries last night, topped with dry sifted kief, I took a drag from my pipe. I leaned back and took it all in. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly heavy my arms felt! Like they had weights attached to them! A totally different high from the gg4! Great smoke!

    • Advantages
Sweet and strong citrus/berry flavor mixed with diesel taste. Yum, tasty top shelf product! Effects are mostly indica related. Kush-strains tends to be the ones which gives you incredible munchies, same goes for this! Gives you a relaxed happy feeling combined with fancy head buzz. Definitely helps to sleep.

This strain was a pleasure to grow! The pheno was very resillient, growth was very fast and first pistils showed up after two weeks. Little neglected her when the stretch phase started - didn’t tie her down enough so she got a bit leggy (78cm tall) so there wasn’t really even canopy. And can’t say enough how pleased I’m the colors! This plant growth was simply art.

The personal favourite so far Black Berry Kush crosses hard hitting classic Blueberry and original landrace Hindu Kush (night time smoke be careful)
she likes it cold and expects good care but boy oh boy does she give you that result
the terpene profile varies slightly from one seed to another but is always a robust combination of pine, fuel, grape, berry, blackcurrant. cherry, kush, hash, earth and sometimes candy
a strong grower that trains well and is easy finished in 12 weeks
really prefers it too be cold (17-23.c)

This bud smells the best. Very floral and sweet, like nothing else I've ever tried. Tastes supreme and very smooth. This is my bedtime snack and it's a great nighttime boost. I smoked a bowl last night at 9 and I was snoring at 930.

An incredible strain that shows great foliar development in the vegetation stage. In the flowering stage it needs a lot of fertilizers for the growth of the flowers. As time goes by, observing its purple tones is something gratifying that feeds the thirst for progress. My first Blackberry Kush crop is in my heart.

This was a promising strain but failed to deliver. The buds were super airy and low-yielding. Easy to grow, but the quality wasn't up to par.

    • Advantages
      Incredible social tension
    • Disadvantages
May cause dry eyes Not the best for treating insomnia, if that's what you need
    • General impressions

It has a very fruity smell, which combines with a fruity smoke. It's truly a social smoke! It has an uplifting effect and will put a smile on your face. When grown in a spot with other plants, this plant will be the most fragrant. For growing, this is not your ideal lady, it produces a lot of large leaves, creating a lot of shade that will not please your canopy. Train and trim well here if you want it to be full. The hash made from this plant is simply amazing, and this is the first strain we extracted that had purple colored hash. And the taste of this one is simply unreal, so fruity, a must try.

      Very relaxing

Sensitive to food and rather picky.
    • General impressions

A perfect smoke to chill out before bed if you get the more indica purple phenotype, and if you get the more sativa/uplifting phenotype of the plant, it's great for a chill smoke with friends, makes you talkative.. Delicious smell and taste. It is very sensitive when it comes to feeding. Not an easy strain to grow specially if you are a novice like me. Would definitely grow this strain again. All 3 BB Kushes started showing signs of deficiency around week 6. Made mistakes with ml amounts very early in flowering. BB Kush#3 (in 5L pot) lost its fan leaves at week 8, and by week 9 had lots of amber and white trics, with about 90% brown pistils and small sugar leaves dying as well. Chopped it on day 64, yielding 6 grams of good, rich, flavorful bud. BB Kush #1 was also in a 5L pot and showed different genetics than the other two purple plants. Green/purple buds, MUCH more trichome production compared to the other two, despite being smaller, and the effect is not as heavy on the body as the purples, but more uplifting and makes you much more talkative. Also, the smell is different, being more citrusy than the sweet smell of the other two. Yielded 8.5 grams of large, airy, frosty buds. Chopped on day 74. BB Kush #2 showed the best growth as it was in an 11L pot. It stayed stocky and produced dense, rock-solid buds. It stank up the whole area around week 8/9 and was chopped on day 74. The buds have a strong pungent sweet/citric smell and the effect is heavy, making your arms numb and relaxing. Perfect for nighttime. Awesome flavor in a dry herb vaporizer! It yielded 14 grams of smelly, solid, smokable blackberries!

This was my very first grow from start to finish. I chose three strains and Auto Blackberry Kush was my first choice. As a beginner grower, I made a lot of rookie mistakes, including watering issues, nutrient management, heat issues, and of course, harvesting my first plant earlier than I should have. That being said, it was very forgiving the whole way. It grew wonderful. My only personal issue was that I didn't get the scent profile right. As I later learned, some of my mistakes played into the scent and flavor profile, especially on the first plant. After correcting my nitrogen issues and after cutting the second plant today, the profile already smells much sweeter. I will be drying and curing for at least 2 weeks to give a flavor and smoke report. As for the experience, it was a lot of fun. Thank you Dutch Passion for the genetics that helped me build my confidence as a grower and make my dreams come true by growing my first crop. Really fruity smell as well as the purple phenotype. Stay safe and good luck growing everyone.

      It’s purple Cannabis, nuff said
    • Disadvantages
This is definitely not Indica dominant or some how I got the wrong seeds. I know this because the seed I gave a friend out grew his tent 6ft and touching his light. I decided to check it out and sure enough straight up Sativa dominant in these seeds. The pods are purple so I know it’s a purple strain just not Indica.
    • General impressions

Bummed out because I order all Indica dominant and I got exactly what I didn’t want, A tall plant with Sativa traits. Will not order from that seed company again.

    Hello Keithdee,

Thank you for your wide explanation, really helpful!
Most of the modern seeds are hybrids, that may include Sativa genes as well. It most likely turned out that the phenotype event took place and certain genes went above the others, so the plants did grow not as usual. Perhaps the plants were somehow triggered to do so? If you would let us know more about the grow process, we could advise on what went wrong
