If a truck with lemons crashed into a wall, that would be the kind of flavor explosion delivered by Lemon Citron. With her acrid gassy and citrus smell, this strain is hardly discreet, especially when you grow her outdoors and get a 15-foot monster, but the yields are fabulous at 8 lbs/plant. Moreover, the effects fueled by 24-26% THC provide blissful relaxation yet keep you on your feet.

Description

Lemon Citron Strain Info

Lemon Citron is a 70% Indica/30% Sativa hybrid, which is a rather surprising genetic makeup given a parentage that includes more Sativas than Indicas and a smoke which, when consumed in moderation, is definitely best for daytime use. Be that as it may, you’ll love this weed’s resistance to humid conditions, over-the-top potency, and loud-and-proud smell.

Genetics

To create this greasy and smelly miracle, Humboldt Seeds breeders crossed their in-house four-way OG hybrid with a Lemon Tree, which descends from two popular Sativa hybrids – Lemon Skunk and Sour Diesel.

Flowering Time

Not too fast but not too slow either, Lemon Citron produces fully mature buds in about 65 days of 12/12 in indoor setups. Outdoors, your harvest will be ready around mid-October, but make sure the weather is warm enough around this time in your region.

Yields

With indoor yields reaching a respectable 400-450g/m² (1.3-1.5oz/ft²), Lemon Citron is a decent producer. However, outdoors, where you can have a much longer veg and give her roots all the space they need, you can harvest in excess of 4kg (8lbs) per plant.

Effects

The effects of Lemon Citron envelop your mind and body in a calm and relaxing high that lasts for hours but lets you remain focused and functional. It’s perfect for outdoor activities and workouts too – just be aware that this smoke is a creeper. Don’t overindulge unless you’re ready to call it a day and drown in a sea of euphoric relaxation.

THC and CBD Levels

Lemon Citron was bred with high potency in mind. These buds pack as much as 24-26% THC, while the CBD content is far less spectacular at just 0.1%.

Smell and Taste

As dank as they come, these buds stink up the whole place when you open the jars, while the smoke smells of fresh citrus juice and sweet fruit. On the exhale, you may taste lemon peel and pepper with some acetone in the background.

Grow Tips

Invaluable for growers who need to contend with high humidity indoors or outdoors, Lemon Citron can handle excess moisture. On the other hand, she loves the sun, so a Mediterranean type of climate close to a seashore will be ideal for outdoor cultivation, where the plants get as tall as 4.5m (15ft) and need cages to support the weight of the buds. Support is also needed indoors, but you won’t have to worry much about ventilation or light penetration.

  • Top her indoors if you prefer longer veg and larger plants at harvest.
  • Give her a couple of weeks to recover after topping or repotting before the 12/12 flip.
  • She’s hungry and will need a lot of nitrogen in veg and phosphorus/potassium during flowering.
