Sunset Sherbet Strain Info

Sunset Sherbet is an 85% Indica strain whose origins combine a number of brilliant cannabis varieties. She’s a fairly heavy hitter in terms of effects, but requires a gentle touch from breeders due to her sensitivity to different growing conditions.

Sunset Sherbet gets her top-notch genetics by combining a family tree of all-American legends – the one and only Girl Scout Cookies crossed with the saucy Pink Panties. This artfully crafted lineage has resulted in large flowers, sticky buds, and a high that delivers the best of both worlds.

Flowering Time

The flowering time of Sunset Sherbet is usually just over 9 weeks when grown indoors, or during September for outdoor growers.

The average indoor cultivator can expect over 350g/m2 (1.15oz/ft2), while outdoor harvests can net 750g (26.5oz) per plant.

This strain’s effects are well balanced, relaxing while also providing mental stimulation. She tends to induce powerful and long-lasting body effects that help to eliminate tension and promote relaxation.

THC Levels

Sunset Sherbet has a THC content level coming in at around 20% – moderately high, but not such a huge percentage that you’ll be completely sedated (unless of course you really up your dose).

Smell And Taste

As befits her name, this strain tastes and smells like the inside of a candy shop. However, Sunset Sherbet’s terpene profile is surprisingly sophisticated and complex. It consists of citrus fruits, ripe berries, and the classic scent of salted caramel inherent in Girl Scout Cookies.

Grow Tips

This pistil-covered plant, despite her robust and well-established genetic lineage, is as delicate as she is sweet. She can be quite sensitive to drastic changes in temperature or to mold and pests, so it’s best to keep this strain as a strictly indoor grow in order to be able to control those variables. Outdoor operations are best left to the most experienced growers. Other grow info to know about:

  • Sunset Sherbet is moderately tall, reaching a final height of up to 1.4m (4’7).
  • Use LST and HST to manage its final height.
  • The recommended growing medium for pros is an Ebb and Flow hydroponic setup, which will have your scales tipping come harvest day.
  • Final yields can be improved by topping the plant after the fifth node to encourage multiple main colas.

    • General impressions
This plant is in my top ten just for flavor alone. It is incredibly complex, very creamy and an intense berry flavor that lingers. Would be absolutely amazingfor concentrates. Rock hard buds and a beautiful purple and red color on the finish. Nine weeks flower time made it especially attractive. It settles into a very nice calming stone that lasts a bit. This company has really good genetics at a reasonable price. I have purchased seeds from this company before with another strain and will probably keep coming back as long as they or myself are around.
