Afghani: Powerful, Landrace Genetics
The original Afghani is a landrace cannabis strain from the mountains of Afghanistan which has been improved as nature intended. Thousands of years of natural selection, recent human cultivation and selective cross-breeding has given rise to a host of high-performance Afghani hybrids.
An Incredibly Versatile Strain
While Afghani is an extremely well performing cannabis strain, Afghani hybrids are often equally if not more impressive than their Indica-dominant parent. Her short height, rapid flowering period and ability to fend off any mold or pests makes her perfect for indoor cannabis cultivation. Other Afghani-based hybrid strains including Afghan Kush and Afghan Haze with Haze genetics making the latter a Sativa-dominant hybrid which can bring in up to 600 g/m2 of dense, sticky cannabis after a moderate 10-week flowering period. Afghan Kush is an almost pure Indica cannabis strain from the Hindu Kush mountains which, like Afghani, has heavy yields of pungent, resinous cannabis buds, which excellent for making cannabis concentrates such as Rick Simpson Oil (RSO).
Excellent for Medical Users!
In addition to having a potent effect which relaxes and soothes the mind, Afghani’s Indica-dominant genetic lineage gives users the ability to consume shocking volumes of food (also known as the “munchies”) which is great for those suffering from loss of appetite due to the side effects of conventional therapy.
